Muslim charged with terror offences after suspect package seized at Manchester Airport

A man has been charged with terror offences after a suspect package was seized from a passenger at Manchester Airport.

Nadeem Muhammed, 43, was arrested on suspicion of making or possessing an explosive under suspicious circumstances on Sunday.

The Manchester Evening News reports that the arrest followed a raid at his home in Tinline Street, Bury.

Officers from Greater Manchester Police (GMP) and the North West Counter Terrorism Unit carried out the raid yesterday.
