White university students are accused of ‘cultural appropriation’ after wearing cornrows in their hair and heavy orange make-up to an ‘Orange is the New Black’ fancy dress party

Two students are being accused of ‘cultural appropriation’ after they wore cornrows in their hair and heavy orange make-up to an ‘Orange is the New Black’ party.

The white teens, who deny any accusations of racism, were attending a University of Bristol student party on Friday with the theme of ‘teams, memes and 2016’.

They appeared at the party dressed as the white character, Patricia, from the Netflix series ‘Orange is the New Black’ who is often shown wearing cornrows in her hair
