Brit who died in Syria fighting against ISIS jihadis ‘turned his gun on himself to avoid being captured’

A British chef who died while fighting ISIS in Syria ‘may have turned his gun on himself to avoid capture’, according to reports.

Ryan Lock, 20, joined up with the Kurdish armed forces last August after telling his family he was going on holiday to Turkey.

It was believed he died in a gun battle in Raqqa but it has since emerged he may have killed himself to avoid capture.
