Justin Trudeau took an MP, party president to vacation on Aga Khan’s private island

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau brought a Liberal MP and the party president along on his recent, controversial vacation on a private island.

The news raises more questions about potential conflicts of interest brought to light when it was revealed Trudeau vacationed with his family and some friends on the Bahamian island belonging to the Aga Khan – whose foundation receives millions in funding from the federal government.

Seamus O’Regan, MP for St. John’s South—Mount Pearl in Newfoundland and Labrador, and his husband, and party president Anna Gainey and her husband were guests of the Aga Khan’s along with the Trudeau family, a spokesman for the prime minister confirmed Wednesday.

What if the Feds have handed the Aga Khan a sweet heart deal for the new centre in Ottawa say rent/tax free for 50 years plus give them millions every year would the left take to the streets and riot.

    • John Boy

The left would only do that to protest any lack of anti-Israel/anti-semitic “art” in the place, like the “art” they have in the Aga Khan Museum in Toronto. Toronto has forgiven the over $330,000 a year property tax on that that large piece of land for the “Islamic art” museum because it is part of the Aga Khan’s “charity”.

And do the Aga Khan’s men make exceptions for governments who give them millions of other peoples’ tax dollars? I am a bit surprised they didn’t show Seamus O’Reagan and his “husband” the view from the roof.

      • It fucking Jizya. Ashhole Trudeau should be turfed.

  • Reader

This is the Liberal attitude on these sorts of issues.

    • The Butterfly

      That’s the Liberal Party motto.

And of course the media is not very upset with this development. They are too busy with Trudeau is wonderful stories, and Trump is Hitler stories.

    • The just ate up that Putin has Trump blackmailed crap, long after the web blew it out of the water.

      • ontario john

They still are on the evening political shows.

          It’s The Canadian Way.

          • WalterBannon

Canada is a corrupt banana republic.

            It is the french/socialist way.

  • Spatchcocked

The press in Canada certainly didn’t learn any lessons from the recent events in the USA……..i.e. You can’t hide the facts of the matter any more.
You can’t prevent the truth from getting out in a timely manner anymore.
It’s called the inner tubes stoopid!
When’s Wikileaks going to start nosing around up here in Canada? Don’t we have any hackers in Canada?

    • Alain

Don’t know about hackers, but we do have plenty of hacks; the majority in government in one capacity or another.

faster than a speeding Wynne / OPP investigation…
    …nothing will happen

  • Canadian Born

So this actually wasn’t a family vacation, right?

  • andycanuck

And for the first time ever I read that the drunken f#ck is queer and has a “husband”. Thank you, MSM.

  • ontario john

And our little prince was chastised today by that great intellectual giant, Hanoi Jane. Yes the media was excited that Jane Fonda had a news conference today with whiny indians to denounce Trudeau for approving pipelines. The second rate actress and traitor demands along with her indian friends that all fossil fuels in Canada remain in the ground. And she pointed out the great success Ontario has had in moving away from fossil fuels and creating 35 thousand green energy jobs. Yeah, maybe in the public sector.

Guess I’m old-fashioned but “his husband” doesn’t ring right.

I suppose it’s academic now. It’s not as if families are at all important anymore, in this post-existence ‘progressive’ society.

    • WalterBannon

Seamus O’Regan and his husband are lucky that there were no high buildings on his private Island for Aga Khan to throw him off…

Allah not so Akbar this time

  • WalterBannon

Payola, selling influence, and accepting a bribe.

That is what this can all be summed up as.

He needs to resign his seat voluntarily, or else face both an ethics inquiry by the house and /or even face criminal charges.

Politicians must be held to the highest standard of both the law and their office, otherwise we live in a lawless land and a banana republic.

    • Alain

Yes, it is the Canadian equivalent of the Clintons.

  • None of this is surprising.

Cronyism is the Liberal way and the voters would never do without it.

Justin’s very expensive incognito trip to Khan’s private island reminds me of the old t.v. show Fantasy Island. Justin & Sophie goes off to this island to satisfy every indulgences they desire to be fulfilled. Of course once he came back he then announces his “magical mystery tour” across Canada to meet up with the “common folk”.

    • JoKeR

“Da plane, da plane.” It will land itself. It doesn’t need a pilot. Just like the budget will balance itself!

  • Ho Hum

Trudeau should be asked if the Aga Khan on the Island at the time of his visit? If not this would blow apart the “he’s a family friend” excuse.

This was a very expensive gift. The Island was bought for $100 Million. I don’t know if Khan rents out his Island but Richard Branson rents out his Necker Island for $47,000 A NIGHT!!

I actually was the one who broke the mystery of where Trudeau was vacationing. Last year I was able to track his vacation using call-sign “CFC1” (Canada Forces One). This year in order to avoid detection they did not use that call sign so I searched flights based on the tail numbers of the Challenger fleet (about 5 aircraft) and I discovered a flight “Chal15” which departed Ottawa on December 26th. for Nassau

I passed this info along to a local reporter who contacted the PMO (Prime Ministers Office) and confronted them with the flight tracking details. Once confronted they relented and admitted he was vacationing in the Bahamas. Had I not discovered his flight details I doubt that the PMO would have ever released details of his vacation.
