Trump has properties all over the world. They’re now major terrorism targets.

Even before Donald Trump became president-elect, Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan called for his name to be scrubbed from Istanbul’s Trump Towers. Erdogan pinned his plea to Trump’s Islamophobia, saying that the candidate “has no tolerance for Muslims in America.”

Now that Trump is weeks from assuming the presidency, cities that host his many branded properties have an additional concern to consider: the potential terrorism threat brought by his name.

I may be wrong here, but I believe Trump doesn’t actually own most of the properties; he just licenses his name. The owners are usually local businessmen, who would be the ones actually getting hurt by boycotts or terrorist attacks.

    • That is very true.

It’s not like the “disruptors” need an legitimate excuse, any one will do.

Constantinople. Rid the city of the horde of barbarian Muslim rapists and head choppers from 1453.

If “Palestinian” refugees can pass on their status to their horde of offspring then monstrous Muslim invaders can pass on their status to their horde of offspring.

So it’s not the terrorists who are the potential terrorism threat, it’s Trump’s name that’s the problem.

So muslims were peaceful prior to Trump being elected?????

    • andycanuck

And there are no American terror targets around the world like, say, embassies and consulates.

Yeah, why does Benghazi ring a bell?

  • Norman_In_New_York

In the 19 months since Trump announced his candidacy, I’m sure he thought through this problem.

I’m deeply touched by the WaPo’s heartwarming care over this issue for ordinary people and not using it to attack Trump or push for his selling of literally everything he owns to avoid phoney conflict of interest charges. 🙁
