Unlike Canada’s Useful Idiot PM Trump Calls It Right: Castro left a legacy of ‘unimaginable suffering’

President-elect Donald Trump on Saturday marked the death of Cuba’s “brutal dictator,” saying Fidel Castro left a legacy of “unimaginable suffering.”

“Today, the world marks the passing of a brutal dictator who oppressed his own people for nearly six decades. Fidel Castro’s legacy is one of firing squads, theft, unimaginable suffering, poverty and the denial of fundamental human rights,” Trump said in a statement.

“While Cuba remains a totalitarian island, it is my hope that today marks a move away from the horrors endured for too long, and toward a future in which the wonderful Cuban people finally live in the freedom they so richly deserve,” he added.

That’s perfect. I am sitting in a public place and the TV on in the background is broadcasting the most sickening statements of condolences from Zoolander and Obama.

    • A little relief then.

Hopefully there’s a trash can nearby with which to barf in.

How dare Trump assume the leadership of the free world when he hasn’t even been sworn in yet.

      • vwVwwVwv

because the free world has no leader for 8 years

    • FactsWillOut

      Yes, he is.

  • Clink9

Too bad Trump wasn’t one of the Americans threatening to move to Canada if he was elected.

    We really need him here.

    • Maxsteele

Amen, but you can always support Kellie Leitch, seemingly the only leadership candidate in Canada willing to speak the truth on all fronts.

      • FactsWillOut

Oh? I don’t remember her saying anything about the deleterious effects of gun control, or exorbitant taxation on tobacco and booze.
Or that we should end Islamic immigration.

    • NoBamaYoMama

Sorry, you can’t have him. You’ll have to get your own Trump!

Mercedes Schlapp described the suffering of her family and the Cuban people under Castro:

    • Interesting comments on the funeral. There’s the possibility that both President Obama and PM Trudeau would attend. It wouldn’t surprise me, especially since it was Canada that facilitated the talks between US and Cuba for normalization.

I pity the Cuban people. First, Fidel’s commie revolution, in which he very heavy-handedly “Nationalized” (ie stole) the sugar and rum industries from the investors, and then the USA, which equally heavy-handedly put an embargo on all trade with Cuba, and, as usual when governments act as they are wont, the Cuban people suffer.

Some say that cuba didn’t want to be America’s whore, but instead they wound up forcing a very large segment of the young, female population into prostitution, for anybody but the Americans, who, by state diktat, were forbidden from even visiting the place by their own gov’t, and hassled by the Cuban gov’t if they disobeyed the American gov’t and went there anyway.

Fidel and Che were both very fond of the firing squad, and the world is made brighter by their absence.

Once again, the actions of government lead to the death and misery of people.

The sick thing is, some people actually like Che, and Castro, like Obama and the Turd who currently runs Canada. Myself, any leader who so impoverishes a nation that the young women become prostitutes in order to supply themselves with the things we take for granted, like toilet paper, is an evil despot. The Cuban people would have been better off as members of an American client state, and the assholes who like Cuba the way it is have zero empathy for the plight of the Cuban people.

Our feckless, androgynous, cuckold PM is an embarrassment to himself but is not even smart enough to realize it.
Canadian voters are a laughing stock of the world on every single front possible.

      Who fucked his wife, then?

        Who would?

        • FactsWillOut

In a pinch, any port in the storm, as they say. At least when I was younger. Now, thankfully, age has freed me from my libido.

          • dance…dancetotheradio

Not completely proud of my past, either.

I married my wife and we vowed that each other of us belonged to each other.
