12 Fake News Stories from the Mainstream Media
With all of the politically-charged talk about banning “fake news” sites, it seems appropriate to review some of the worst fake news stories pushed by mainstream media outlets. No matter how large your family gathering is this Thanksgiving, you won’t be chowing down on a turkey as big as these phony stories from A-list television shows and publications.
‘F*** him!’ Emotional TV anchors and execs hit ‘bluffing blowhard’ Trump for turning his Monday media summit into a showdown
A handful of network executives and anchors who were among those invited to attend Donald Trump’s media summit on Monday are lashing out at the president-elect and his behavior during the off-the-record discussion.
Four of those present spoke with the New Yorker about what happened behind closed doors in Trump Tower, saying that the first 20 minutes of the hour-long meeting involved Trump attacking many of those present and their network coverage of him during the race.
Ron Paul Publishes List of ‘Fake News’ Reporters
Ron Paul published a list that he says contains the fake news sites and reporters “who told us that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and lied us into multiple bogus wars. These are the news sources that told us “if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.” They told us that Hillary Clinton had a 98% of winning the election. They tell us in a never-ending loop that ‘The economy is in great shape!’”
SURPRISE! CNN Makes A False Claim And Press Picks It Up
CNN made a false claim Monday afternoon and various journalists ran wild with it.
It all started with a segment on CNN’s The Lead which quoted prominent white nationalist figure Richard Spencer as wondering if Jews were actually people. CNN host Jim Sciutto said, “of Jews Spencer said, ‘one wonders if these people are people at all, or instead soulless golem.’”
“That is an alt right leader Richard Spencer talking about Jews,” Sciutto added. CNN then had a panel with RealClearPolitics’ Rebecca Berg and The Boston Globe’s Matt Viser with the chyron “ALT-RIGHT FOUNDER QUESTIONS IF JEWS ARE PEOPLE.”
Except, Spencer did not make those remarks about Jews and was instead talking about political consultants on television.
More Fake News: New York Times Calls Bannon ‘White Nationalist’
The New York Times has run yet another fake news article — this time, an “explainer” about “white nationalism” that features a photograph of Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon under the headline “White Nationalism, Explained.”
Bannon is not a “white nationalist.” In fact, he is not a racist at all, a fact attested to by everyone who has worked with him, including the diverse staff at Breitbart News.
The Anti-Trump Riots are a Smoke Screen
Many seem bewildered by the anti-Trump riots and demonstrations. And many keep trying to find a reasonable response. Give it up. You can’t reason with them with words.
Here is my take. They know full well that they aren’t going to overturn the election. These privately funded forces are being used to create pressure to destroy the Electoral College so they won’t have to deal with it next election. This is how the Left operates. Make a big deal over here to force the hidden agenda over there. The plan is to make enough trouble that Congress will move to abolish the EC to get some peace.
For clues on who is behind this effort one only has to watch to see which member of Congress proposes such action. The answer of course is California Senator Barbara Boxer. It only took a week after the election for her to come to the rescue of the broken and distraught Left.
Liberal coal phase-out is just more magical thinking
So Prime Minister Justin Trudeau must be getting set to rush approval of a bunch of new hydro dams and nuclear power plants, right? And maybe a host of new electrical generating stations fired by natural gas, too.
And he and his Liberal government must – must – be about to announce that they will call out the RCMP and the army if they have to to keep protestors from blocking the construction of all these new facilities.
Surely that’s what is about to happen. After all, on Monday Trudeau’s Environment Minister Catherine McKenna announced the federal Liberal government will force provinces that still have coal-fired power plants to shut them down by 2030.
Trudeau fundraiser with Chinese billionaires ‘does not pass the smell test’
The Liberal government’s “cash-for-access” woes deepened Tuesday as the Opposition hammered Prime Minister Justin Trudeau over a news report he mingled with Chinese billionaires at an exclusive Liberal Party fundraiser.
During question period in the Commons, Conservative interim leader Rona Ambrose said: “Rubbing elbows with millionaires at these cash-for-access events does not pass the smell test, and the prime minister knows it. So why does he keep doing it?”
German far-Right extremists teaming up with gangs in America and Europe to plan attacks, intelligence chief warns
Far-right extremists in Germany are joining forces with like-minded groups across Europe and even the United States as they prepare to carry out more attacks, the country’s intelligence chief has warned.
Hans-Georg Maassen, the head of the Verfassungsschutz, said the agency had been forced to step up its efforts to foil plots by neo-Nazi and fascist groups following a surge in extremist violence in 2015.
“This is not just purely a German phenomenon,” he told Reuters, “the Right-extremist scene is networking on a European level, and in some cases, with connections in the United States.”
Trudeau carbon tax takes from the poor, gives to the rich
Liberals always claim they want to redistribute money from those with too much to those with too little.
Which raises two key questions about the new Liberal carbon tax: who will pay and who will get?
