Twitter Allows ‘Rape Melania’ to Trend After Site Explodes with Trump Assassination Threats

A source close to the Secret Service, told the that the agency were well aware of the threats and that they had seen a spike since Trump was elected on Tuesday.

They said there were ‘mechanisms in place’ to monitor social media for such posts, and to determine which threats were more concerning than others but said that “every threat was taken seriously.”

Your Government Wants to Militarize Social Media to Influence Your Beliefs

A global conference of senior military and intelligence officials taking place in London this week reveals how governments increasingly view social media as “a new front in warfare” and a tool for the Armed Forces.

The overriding theme of the event is the need to exploit social media as a source of intelligence on civilian populations and enemies; as well as a propaganda medium to influence public opinion.

Emanuel Tells Undocumented Immigrants Chicago ‘Always Will Be A Sanctuary City’

Even as President-elect Donald Trump vows to immediately deport 2 to 3 million undocumented immigrants when he takes office in January, Mayor Rahm Emanuel is reaffirming Chicago’s commitment as a so-called “sanctuary city.”

“To be clear about what Chicago is, it always will be a sanctuary city,” the mayor said Monday.

Toronto staff tear down anti-multiculturalism signs

Toronto city staff are removing posters that urged white people “tired of political correctness” and “questioning when immigration will stop” to join an online movement.

City councillor Janet Davis tweeted Monday that staff were also looking into who is behind the posters, which were spotted in her ward.

She said “this hate is unacceptable in our city.”

Mega-sized Canadian delegation in Morocco for this year’s United Nations climate change conference

Canada is present and accounted-for at this year’s United Nations climate change conference with a provisional participant list of 225 individuals led by Environment Minister Catherine McKenna and which includes Quebec Premier Philippe Couillard, several provincial environment ministers and a handful of members of provincial legislatures.

They’ve all traveled to Marrakech, Morocco for COP22 to build on work undertaken in COP21 last fall in Paris. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and many other heads of government were present last year in Paris to sign what has been dubbed the Paris Agreement. It was a big deal.

Critics fear Breitbart News may become the weaponized media adjunct for Trump’s White House

Mainstream news outlets are soul-searching in the wake of being shocked by Donald Trump’s election last week. But the team at Breitbart News, the right-wing opinion and news website that some critics have denounced as a hate site, is elated — and eager to expand on a victory that it views as a profound validation of its cause.

“So much of the media mocked us, laughed at us, called us all sorts of names,” Alexander Marlow, the site’s editor-in-chief, said in an interview Sunday. “And then for us to be seen as integral to the election of a president, despite all of that hatred, is something that we certainly enjoy, and savor.”

How The Democrats’ Use Of Fearmongering Has Abused Millennials

In 2016, two of what many have considered the most flawed candidates in U.S. history squared off. The Democrat this year was Hillary Clinton, who has been under FBI investigation twice, and has been under fire for several other scandals. The Democrats expected to win this year against Donald Trump, because ‘words hurt’. Millennials, who usually vote Democrat, were not ready to face reality in case Trump won.

The response has been on every square foot of the baseball field. It ranges from crying to being handed coloring books and puppies, to smashing shop windows in the Pearl District of Portland. What we have learned from this is not that our generation is ‘weak’, but that we have been coddled by weak politicians who are all talk and no action. Donald Trump won because of this reason.

UK: Muslim women being sentenced to lives of misery in British sharia courts

As an activist and documentary film-maker who has spent more than two decades investigating religious fundamentalism in Britain, I can reveal that sharia courts seek to undermine British law, subject women to humiliation, subjugation and the risk of physical harm, and apply a version of Islamic law that is far more extreme than that used in Muslim countries such as Bangladesh and Pakistan.

The most prominent sharia councils are also the fundamentalist ones.

Nobody knows how many unregulated sharia courts there are in Britain. One unofficial estimate put the total at around 85, which means there is a sharia court in pretty much every area with a sizeable Muslim community.

Tea Party Finally Gets Decision On Tax Exempt Status From IRS: Denied

The tax agency, under orders from a federal judge, is belatedly tackling the remaining tea party cases that it delayed for years, and so far the tea party isn’t doing well. Only one of the three groups in the case was approved, and the other two, including Albuquerque, got notices of proposed denials last week.

The applicants will have a chance to appeal, but the denials aren’t sitting well with the groups, whose attorney said it’s more evidence that the IRS continues to single out the tea party for abuse.

“It is clear that we still have an IRS that is corrupt and incapable of self-correction,” said Jay Sekulow, chief counsel at the American Center for Law and Justice, which represented a number of tea party groups in a case against the tax agency.

Angry Leftists Want The Electoral College To Throw The Vote To Hillary

Trump has 306 electoral votes, Hillary only 232, which means the angry Left would have to convince at least 38 Republican electors to vote for anyone but Trump. Again, not very likely. You might convince one or two who happen to be steadfast NeverTrump Republican establishment RINOs or Ted Cruz conservatives, but that’s far from the 38 they need.

And if they fail to get at least 38 but enough so that neither candidate has the required 270 votes, then congress will simply decide who the next president will be.

Since the current (and future) congress is under Republican control, there is zero chance they’d ever select Hillary (or any Republican other than the official GOP nominee).

U. Virginia students, profs tell school president to stop quoting Thomas Jefferson

The Cavalier Daily reports Sullivan used some words from our third president in a post-election email, noting “Thomas Jefferson wrote to a friend that University of Virginia students ‘are not of ordinary significance only: they are exactly the persons who are to succeed to the government of our country, and to rule its future enmities, its friendships and fortunes.’

“I encourage today’s U.Va. students to embrace that responsibility.”

But … Jefferson owned slaves, you see, as this is an important consideration to many faculty. They penned a response to Sullivan, which was signed by over 450 other staff and students.

URGENT: Millions of Smoke Detectors Recalled Nationwide

Name of Product: KN-COSM-IB Hardwired Combination Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Alarm

Concern: When the alarm reaches the end of its useful life, it issues an end of life chirp every thirty seconds. If the battery is replaced when the unit is at its end of life, and the test button is pressed within 10 seconds thereafter, the unit will no longer issue an end of life chirp.
