The Muslim world has to take climate action

For years now, a strange paradox has existed within the Muslim world. On the one hand, Muslims – who represent more than a fifth of the global population – live in some of the regions most affected by the changing climate; from Turkey and the Middle East with their increasingly intense droughts to the floodplains of Bangladesh and Indonesia.

On the other hand, many Muslim-majority countries continue to contribute to climate change by burning fossil fuels such as coal, gas and oil in copious amounts. With support growing rapidly among Muslims for economies powered entirely on renewable energy and several countries already leading the way, that could all be about to change.

Hillary Deleted Email Showing She Forwarded Classified Information To Her Daughter

Hillary Clinton deleted a 2009 email in which she forwarded classified information to her daughter, Chelsea.

The email was released on Friday by the State Department. It is one of thousands of emails recovered by the FBI from Clinton’s private email server.

The Dec. 20, 2009 email chain, entitled “Update,” started with a message from Michael Froman, who served as a deputy assistant to President Obama and deputy national security adviser for international economic affairs.

The email, which is redacted because it contains information classified as “Confidential,” was sent to Jake Sullivan, Clinton’s foreign policy adviser at the State Department, and several Obama aides. Sullivan sent it to Hillary Clinton who then forwarded it to Chelsea, who emailed under the pseudonym “Diane Reynolds.”

It’s a Right Wing Russian Conspiracy!

Robots will take your jobs, government will have to pay your wage

Computers, intelligent machines, and robots seem like the workforce of the future. And as more and more jobs are replaced by technology, people will have less work to do and ultimately will be sustained by payments from the government, predicts Elon Musk, the iconic Silicon Valley futurist who is the founder and CEO of SolarCity, Tesla, and SpaceX.

According to Musk, there really won’t be any other options.

“There is a pretty good chance we end up with a universal basic income, or something like that, due to automation,” says Musk to CNBC. “Yeah, I am not sure what else one would do. I think that is what would happen.”

Racist Graffiti In Boyle Heights Could Be Response To Gentrification

The LAPD is investigating another possible hate crime after someone spray-painted an obscenity followed by the words “white art” on the front of an art gallery.

The numbers 187 – the penal code for murder – at the top of the tag was also disturbing. Community activists have accused more than a dozen art galleries that recently moved into the mostly Hispanic neighborhood east of downtown L.A. of helping to drive up rents and pushing out the working class.

A meat-free Turin? Is Italy’s first ‘vegetarian city’ a recipe for disaster?

It’s midday, and the meat stalls in Turin’s open-air food market, Porta Palazzo, are crowded with customers browsing the beef, salami and prosciutto on offer. Shopping for meat is an everyday ritual in the capital city of Piedmont, a region of Italy with a rich culinary history – but this could all be about to change.

In the summer the new mayor Chiara Appendino – of the populist Five Star Movement (M5S) – announced plans to make Turin Italy’s first vegetarian city. The exact details of Appendino’s five-year plan have yet to be fleshed out, but the city is expected to set up educational projects in schools to teach students about animal welfare and nutrition. There are also plans to create a vegetarian map of the city for tourists, and introduce a weekly meat-free day.

Susan Sarandon: DNC ‘Completely Corrupt’

Actress Susan Sarandon railed against the Democratic National Committee Thursday, calling the party’s primary system “crazy” and “completely corrupt.”

“After my experience in the primary, it’s very clear to me the DNC is gone,” Sarandon said during an interview on CNN.

“It’s completely corrupt and every superdelegate is a lobbyist. The way that the system is set up in terms of trying of having superdelegates — you could win a state and not get the delegates. It’s crazy.”

…and she knows crazy.

Julian Assange: Clinton & ISIS Funded by Same Money

In a 2014 email made public by Assange’s WikiLeaks last month, Hillary Clinton, who had served as secretary of state until the year before, urges John Podesta, then an advisor to Barack Obama, to “bring pressure” on Qatar and Saudi Arabia, “which are providing clandestine financial and logistic support to ISIL [Islamic State, IS, ISIS] and other radical Sunni groups.”

“I think this is the most significant email in the whole collection,” Assange, whose whistleblowing site released three tranches of Clinton-related emails over the past year, told Pilger in an exclusive interview, courtesy of Dartmouth Films.

Election Fraud in Broward County: Officials Caught Ballot Stuffing, Destroying Ballots

According to multiple sources and witnesses, Broward County Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes and employees are engaging in mass voter fraud in multiple forms. While People’s Pundit Daily has uncovered instances of election fraud in other counties around the state–including Pasco and Lee–Broward is large enough that it could potentially swing the state.

It has been widely reported that black turnout in the state–and in other battleground states such as North Carolina and Ohio–is way down from 2012 levels. In the past few days, the Clinton campaign and their Democratic surrogates have been touting “a surge” in turnout among black voters in Broward County, which is overseen by Snipes.

But according to our multiple sources, there has been no real improvement in enthusiasm on the ground, but rather bold voter fraud schemes carried out by employees at the Supervisor of Elections. The election fraud scheme is mutli-pronged and includes destroying ballots selectively and what is traditionally known as ballot-stuffing, or filling in absentee ballots.

Islamists Boast Over Million Muslims Registered to Vote in US Election

This is how it begins. Look at Turkey if you want to know how it ends.

Islamist groups linked to the Muslim Brotherhood have aggressively pushed a voter registration effort for Muslims to gain influence and power for their agenda. And they continue to gain power. These are the latest warning signs that our migration policy is badly broken.

Wynne says no tax hikes needed to balance books

Read her lips: no new taxes.

That was the message from Premier Kathleen Wynne on Friday despite a controversial accounting change that will make it more challenging for the Liberals to balance the books next year as promised.

“We’re not going to raise taxes on middle-class families,” Wynne told the Globe and Mail’s Robert Fife in a fireside chat at the Ontario Economic Summit in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

“We’re not going to do anything that is going to harm people who are just feeling the benefits of some of the recovery.”
