Trump Will Win the National Battle for Legitimacy

The referee should have stopped it in the tenth. Punching at will, Donald Trump said, “Hillary used the power of her office to make $250 million. Why not put some money in? You made a lot of it while you were secretary of State? Why aren’t you putting money into your own campaign? Just curious.” Reeling and against the ropes, Clinton gasped that she supported … the Second Amendment. It was a brilliant rhetorical device: under the rubric of campaign financing, Trump slipped in an allegation that Clinton corruptly enriched herself by using the power of her office for personal gain–and Clinton didn’t even respond.

That’s a win by a knockout.

  • Thinking From First Principles

The Trump campaign should be placing ads for Bernie Sanders voters … encouraging them to vote for Gary Johnson if they can’t vote for him – “Don’t legitimize Hillary by voting for her. Vote for an alternate candidate instead, even if its not me.”

    • Thinking From First Principles

Or maybe better to encourage them to write in Bernie Sanders … but in any case to reach out and give them a viable path to not voting for Hillary if the will not vote for him.

That’s how you know it was a Trump rapefest.

  • Clausewitz

Clinton doesn’t support the 2nd amendment, Hell she doesn’t even support the first amendment. She’s already stated she’s going to shut down Drudge after she’s elected.

Yet when Trump does it (ie promising to jail Hillary once elected), people wet their pants about the executive branch going after their rivals.

Trump talks then thinks. Hillary thinks then talks. When it comes time to act, Trump will dial it back to what’s possible. With Hillary, she’s had a plan for ages and will not tolerate being denied, it’s just a question of conning her opponents (and ‘friends’).

    Admission by omission.

    She is guilty.
