No ancient Egyptians could be found to comment on cancelled musical’ lack of diversity

ancient-egyptian…so I am cancelling this post for its lack of diversity

    Leftist wrecker mentality at work.

Although calling Verdi’s Aida a “musical” is a bit downmarket. It was a cutting edge opera as to huge sets etc (but not commissioned to celebrate the opening of the Suez Canal, that’s a legend) and its initial first performance was in Cairo.

Wonder what such PC fools would make of this Verdi item:

    or perhaps this

      Thanks for the intro!

This chorus is from “Nabucco”, which is about the Babylonian Captivity.

This appropriation must be stamped out. Why, they might cast Puerto Ricans and Irish and move the location of a play from Verona to New York’s West Side.

So they were demanding Jews be cast as the Hebrew slaves? Somehow I think not.
