Trigger Warnings In Actual College Courses Are As Dumb As You Imagine, Only More So

shock-faceA survey of over 800 professors and teaching assistants at America’s colleges and universities by National Public Radio shows that roughly half say they voluntary use or have used “trigger warnings” — notifications advising students that they may be about to view imagery or hear words which someone, somewhere might find offensive or somehow stressful.

It’s only a matter of time before the virtue signallers turn on each other. Surely it’s obvious that a prof who has to give trigger warnings all the time is a racist who hasn’t properly checked his privilege. (warning ! my sarc meter is in the shop for repairs.)

    • It’s happening now, they will mau mau one another to extinction.

      Try the Sarc-O-Meter 2000.

      More reliable.

Thanks for the recommendation. Hopefully I can get one using box tops and an Ontariowe government grant.

If you can’t deal with the realities of truth in history, then maybe you’re not old enough or mature enough to be taking my history courses at University.

I really need to get a part time gig at a college just to troll the fuck out of everyone.

You don’t even have to be on campus to troll the fuck outta stupids. Wear a “Make America Great Again” cap as you stroll along College Street in Toronto. Canadian arseholes will readily identify themselves to you. Warning: Be tall, muscular and with a “don’t fuck with me” face when you do this. GREAT FUN!

It is fun………. Especially at the faculty lounge.

  • This is why dumping these brats into North Korea and Syria is never wrong.

I’ve had to deal with a collection of young engineers. There is a huge diffetence between the good ones and the ones who need trigger warnings.

A colleague and dear friend of ours is highly placed in the leading headhunting firm in Canada. The stories she has to tell about newly-minted graduate SJWs could curl your hair. Take heart! Major employers are avidly using any and all means to identify and avoid hiring these pains in the arse.

Back in 2001 I interviewed recent grads for a junior draftsmen. $20/hr to start.

Even then I had two moms call me to bitch that their precious snowflake hadn’t gotten the job. One of them was an hour late for the interview, smelled of booze and piss and his clothes looked like he had passed out in a ditch somewhere. His excuse is he had been out celebrating the night before and his mom forgot to wake him up for his interview.

This doesn’t surprise me. I heard about another “recent MBA grad” who kept texting during her interview, scanning her iPhone constantly, and complaining that the questions she was being asked were “too intrusive for words” and “like Nazi harassment”. I wish I was kidding…..

I’m so glad i’m not doing hiring these days.

      Excellent point/strategy.

Pre-Kindergarten level coddling, for college? Still stuck on baby food? Still suckling too (one has to ask)?
