UK: Government urged to impose ‘financial Asbos’ to stop terrorism funding

The government has been urged to consider imposing tight financial restrictions on terror suspects in order to control how they spent their money, even if they have never been convicted of an offence.

Hate preachers and extremists ought to be made the subject of financial ASBOs which would prevent them from funding terrorist activities or supporting those involved in jihad.

Those claiming benefits would have even tighter restrictions imposed meaning they could only use taxpayers’ money for the purpose for which it was intended such as rent and food.
