Obama’s and Xi’s hot air on climate change

Now that the hype is over, let’s look at what U.S. President Barack Obama andChinese President Xi Jinping actually agreed to last week when they ratified the United Nations’ Paris climate accord.

Basically, they approved a document with no binding targets or deadlines for reducing industrial greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions linked to climate change, and no penalties for failing to reduce them.
