Civil service parrots Trudeau’s propaganda

Back in 2011, federal bureaucrats took issue with using the phrase “Harper government” to describe the previous administration in official government news releases.

Apparently, that was too partisan for the gentle souls in Canada’s civil service.

These same bureaucrats, however, had no problem parroting Justin Trudeau’s favourite partisan talking point when announcing the delivery of a Liberal campaign promise.

The Saturday Toronto Star, the official print publication of the Liberal Party, is excited this morning about Turdeau’s visit to China. Multi page story on how wonderful little Justin is. The Chinese love him, and lots of selfie pictures. The little turd was finally asked a question by his adoring Canadian press on the Canadian held in prison there. He would not even say his name, and rambled on about improving relations with China. So if your a Canadian held in prison in China, Iran, or elsewhere your screwed under this government. And of course the editorial was on how evil Harper was.

Not the civil service but the MSM: when it was good news from Harper, it was “Ottawa does…”; when it was bad news from Harper, it was “Harper Government does”; when it’s bad news from Justin, it’s “Ottawa says”; when it’s good news from Justin, it’s “Justin says”.

Why didn’t the Toronto Sun journalist name the mandarins responsible for the Trudeau cheerleading departments? Name those who approve press releases that include Liberal talking points like, “Canada is back.” Follow up by asking them if they are members of the Liberal party. Why are they acting as PR agents for the Liberal Party of Canada. Hold the individual bureaucrats accountable for this type of crap. In other words, Toronto Sun reporter, do your job. Ugh.
