Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is following in his father’s footsteps by engaging in a new relationship with China.

And much like his father, former Prime Minister Pierre Elliot Trudeau, Justin is perfectly willing to look the other way when it comes to China’s dark history and its serious human rights abuses.

Earlier this year, Trudeau met with the Chinese Ambassador and was presented with a photo of his father, Pierre meeting Chairman Mao Zedong.

Jackass Sr. told CBC to worship him in the 60’s

    butcher Mao his mentor

    • It was a love affair. Made in hell.

Yup and once again we get a whitewash of history. I’mean curious about his conduct during the Spanish Civil war. I bet he was komintern stooge.

In actuality, we don’t have a serious historical study of the man do we?

        • Just a CBC Hagiography and a couple of books extolling his many virtues.

Nasty Canadian communist bethune was stuck up front by China and P Trudeau
“to provide something of common interest uniting the masses” of both countries.
It was just cynical politics. Most ordinary Chinese visiting Canada that I have met steered clear of worshiping St bethune, leaving that task to their more sure footed communist party politicians.

    • And to think our Conservative government spruced the place up….

OTTAWA – The Prime Minister’s Office is standing behind a $2.5 million taxpayer-funded tourist trap dedicated to Canadian Maoist supporter Norman Bethune.

Andrew MacDougall, Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s spokesman, said Wednesday that Parks Canada locations – like where the new visitors centre at the Bethune Memorial House National Historic Site is located – “cover the full spectrum of political actors (and) political thought from Canada’s past.”

…one of these days they’ll try to take over the whole World, you just wait…Lebensraum, starting with the South China Sea…they just have to bankrupt America firstly to weaken, then WHAMMO!

Every time I pass that place on the way to the cottage I want to puke. We spent a huge amount of money a couple of years ago to renovate that shrine to Chinese communism. And why are we paying for a shrine to a drunken commie anyway. His claim to fame is that he helped the Chinese army. The same Chinese army that was killing Canadians in Korea a few years later. This country is insane.

How long before a shrine is made for “uncle Fidel”?

And little Justin has announced he is opening up 7 new visa offices in China. That should make it easier for Chinese spys to arrive in Canada.

  • Spatchcocked

I was good friends with Bethune’s aide de camp in the Spanish civil war(Henning Sorensen).
He was of course a lifelong communist. He is in many fotos in the books re Bethune in Spain.
We had many talks over the years.
What do you want to know about Bethune the man?
It’s a small world you know……dear old Henning (read wrote and spoke 8 or 9 languages)ended up as a translator for Harry Rankin would be communist mayor of Vancouver. Harry was in the same regiment as my old dad in the battle for Ortona.(Seaforth Highlanders)
My dad used Harry as my lawyer for my youthful peccadillos …..I actually heard Harry use the phrase “the means of production”.

  • He worshipped a man who murdered seventy million people.

Bethune and Trudeau can roast in hell.

  • John

A drunken, unwashed, opium-addled Bolshevik fucking a parade of nubile, under-aged ‘chink-tarts’ ( yes…that’s how he saw them) while complaining about western imperialism.

Were I to write a biography of him, I’d call it ‘Rabbit-Horny in China’

Poon, money, luxury and ego. Sounds just like how Xerxes seduced Ephialtes in “300”…

All he had to do was kneel before the tyrant…

  • UCSPanther

Norman Bethune sounds like another Pete Seeger: An open sympathizer, traitor and supporter of a hostile and murderous dictatorship. Hardly a humanitarian in my books.

And even if Bethune was a “humanitarian”, Chairman Mao’s praise of him for his “selflessness” rings hollow considering the fact that historians more or less regard the Chinese tyrant as one of the most prolific mass murderers of the 20th century…

Note: Pete Seeger was a folk-singer who eagerly propagandized for “Uncle Joe” and was even involved in the “America First” movement near the beginning of WWII, trying to keep the US out of the war for the benefit of both Hitler and Stalin when the two tyrants had their loose alliance in effect. After the War, Seeger continued to propagandize for the Soviet Empire, especially during the Vietnam War.
