Don’t Censor Terrorists’ Names

Major media outlets in France have recently decided not to publish the names and faces of terrorists so as not to glorify them and encourage copycats. On the surface, this might seem like reasonable self-imposed discretion in the interests of national security. But it’s actually self-censorship — and it’s dangerous. It reflects a subtly mistaken conception of why jihadis are prepared to die for their cause, and it risks dehumanizing an enemy that is dangerous precisely because its adherents are humans with identifiable motives.

    The media are such dhimmis.

When do we get to uncensor Ghamil Garbi?

I tell that story every time that anniversary comes around.
And I tell them about the cowards who left the room to let him shoot those girls.
And how they have killed themselves over the guilt.

Fine. Then use Mohammad Smith (or, say, Leblanc in France) for all of them.

They’ll be glorified among their fellow mahometans through social media. The real reason for the names being withheld is of course to try to conceal from the general public the fact that they’re mahometans.

That or only using their original native names if the terrorist was a convert instead of their new, Moslem name.

Let the public think it’s rightwing radicals.

The media better censors the names or they will make us very angry and they know the consequences of that!
