armed victimNew Gun Control Idea: Take Guns from Senior Citizens

John Hopkins University’s Shannon Frattaroli sees danger in gun ownership among senior citizens, and pointed out Thursday that California’s Gun Violence Restraining Orders (GVROs) provide a way that families can have guns confiscated from older relatives.

“So much of the dialogue around guns in this country has been around crime, and lately, mass shootings. And the older population is not part of that. But when you look at the suicide issue, it’s impossible to ignore older Americans. With that in mind, any conversation about guns has to include a conversation [about] gun ownership among older adults. There’s definitely more to be done on that issue in the United States.”

Hillary-jailfree-card-1Clinton reportedly told FBI Colin Powell pushed private email; Powell denies

The New York Times reported Wednesday that Clinton’s revelation is part of the FBI’s notes that were given to Congress on Tuesday about the agency’s questioning in July that led Director James Comey not to pursue criminal charges against her over her use of private emails.

An email exchange emerged from 2009 between Clinton and Powell during the questioning that revealed that she had asked the former secretary of state about his email practices under George W. Bush, a source told The Times. Clinton had already set up her private email server during that time.

migrants in Italy-701937Migrant camp for hundreds of people to be built on Italian-Swiss border

The camp at Como in the north of Italy will house migrants who tried to travel into Switzerland but got turned back – similar to Calais, which is home to migrants attempting to travel from France to the UK.

Last month more than 4,000 people were blocked from entering Switzerland by the Swiss Guard – a number expected to rise with 25,000 people now arriving on Italy’s coast every month.

Now David Miliband has warned the numbers are “not a blip”, further heightening fears of a bottleneck in the north of the country.

Hillary-Obama-NC-5-Jul-725x375They’ve got nothing. The progressive left keeps showing its true colors

It’s no accident that in a week when a “thousand-year” flooding event has huge swaths of Louisiana underwater, with 11 people confirmed dead, many still missing, and tens of thousands homeless, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are nowhere to be seen.

Well, not in Louisiana, anyway. They’re not in Milwaukee, either, where riots erupted over the weekend and the governor of Wisconsin had to call up the National Guard on Monday.

Nor are they in southern California, where more than 80,000 people are under mandatory evacuation orders as a wildfire rages out of control, shutting down a major interstate artery for two days and counting.

angela-merkel-painting-time-magazine-cover-1-resized‘Not My Fault!’ Merkel Claims Islamic Terrorism Existed In Germany Before Refugee Influx

In a somewhat stunningly desperate effort to change the narrative (after being hit by numerous recent terror attacks claimed by ISIS), German Chancellor Angela Merkel proclaimed today that “islamist terror in Germany wasn’t imported with refugees” adding that “terror existed in Germany before the refugee influx.” Roughly translated, this Junckerian “don’t blame me” lie is the latest effort to regain some public support in her nation (which has plummeted), continuing to position anti-immigrant sentiment as the biggest danger.

burning israel symbolMacmillan geography textbook filled with anti-Israel lies: “Jews were first modern terrorists,” Palestinian terror justified

Seriously? The first modern terrorist attack in the Middle East was done by Jews? Whether the King David bombing – targeting a military headquarters – was terror is debatable, but it was by no means the first terror attack in the region. What was the 1929 massacres of Jewish civilians if not terrorism? What about the many terror attacks perpetrated by the Black Hand, the terror group founded by Sheikh Izz ad-Din al-Qassam in the late 1920s to kill Jews and the British in Palestine? (Outside the region, there were many terror groups in the 19th century, including in the Ottoman Empire and the US.)

94716_donaldtrumptopTrump Plays the Role of President in Louisiana

In a brilliant maneuver perfectly timed to complement his campaign revamp, Republican nominee Donald Trump today landed in Louisiana to witness first-hand the devastation wrought by flooding not seen there since Hurricane Katrina pummeled the Gulf Coast in 2005.

Trump’s arrival on the scene helps him on a number of levels. Most importantly, it provides a dramatic contrast to Hillary Clinton and President Obama, both of whom have neglected to visit a region where more than a dozen have died and tens of thousands have been forced out of their homes.

isisConfirmed: Islam, Not ‘Grievances,’ Fuels Muslim Hate for the West

We hate you, first and foremost, because you are disbelievers; you reject the oneness of Allah – whether you realize it or not – by making partners for Him in worship, you blaspheme against Him, claiming that He has a son [Christ], you fabricate lies against His prophets and messengers, and you indulge in all manner of devilish practices. It is for this reason that we were commanded to openly declare our hatred for you and our enmity towards you. “There has already been for you an excellent example in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, ‘Indeed, we are disassociated from you and from whatever you worship other than Allah. We have rejected you, and there has arisen, between us and you, enmity and hatred forever until you believe in Allah alone’” (Al-Mumtahanah 4 [i.e., Koran 60:4]). Furthermore, just as your disbelief is the primary reason we hate you, your disbelief is the primary reason we fight you, as we have been commanded to fight the disbelievers until they submit to the authority of Islam, either by becoming Muslims, or by paying jizyah – for those afforded this option [“People of the Book”] – and living in humiliation under the rule of the Muslims [per Koran 9:29].

nicolas maduroVenezuelan president warns rivals: ‘Did you see what happened in Turkey?’

Nicolás Maduro has said the purge Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has meted out on rivals after a failed coup would look like child’s play compared with the action he would take if Venezuela’s opposition tried something similar.

internetThe end of the internet as we know it

The Commerce Department is finalizing the transition of control of the internet from U.S. hands to a “multi-stakeholder” model that includes Russia and China.

None of this was approved by Congress. The administration is acting unilaterally to strip U.S. control of the internet and give it to totalitarians and religious fanatics.

  • V10_Rob

Gonna have to query all my America-hating tech-head associates on how happy they must be that the worst country on Earth is no longer going to have control of the internet… Ought to be good.

  • tom_billesley

In ever worsening food supply problems, Maduro has to feed his soldiers and their families or he’ll be swept aside.

Venezuelans suffering from hunger and shortages in their struggling country broke into Caracas zoo and pulled a black stallion from its pen, then butchered the animal for food.
Zookeepers arriving for duty the next morning found only the head and ribs left behind in a pile.
Vietnamese pigs and sheep were reportedly stolen from the same zoo a few weeks earlier.

    • Socialism sure works!

      • tom_billesley

They should have left the stallion’s head in Maduro’s bed.

What makes this news story of interest is that it could put the Trudeau Government and the RCMP in a difficult position with respect to issuing a Peace Bond to a potential terrorist? If the Public Safety Minister and RCMP are aware of the potential danger to the public posed by permitting a local jihadi run loose then they could indeed be culpable in a court if they do not inform the public of the danger.

Police should have warned the Strathroy cabbie who was caught in the cross-fire when ISIS sympathizer Aaron Driver was shot dead after a clash with police, lawyer Lawrence Greenspon says

    • And what about all those Free Range Jihadis the RCMP lets walk among us, the ones who said “I’m sorry”.

    • moraywatson

What is being glossed over is that while under a peace bond Harun Abdurahman was able to accumulate the materials necessary to make two working bombs, and the RCMP new nothing about it.

      • Justin St.Denis

That is because the RCMP is USELESS as tits on a bull.

  • ontario john

Good news for those who use illegal drugs. According to the Toronto Sun, all you have to do is go to an Ontario jail for a few days. The story reports that in Sunny Ways Ontario, drug use is rampant in jails. Although you have to wait in lines to obtain them sometimes. Apparently drug dealers whether inmates or staff are free to sell without being punished. Maybe Wynne can tax the purchases.

The Saturday Star once again managed to get its edition out, regardless of sexual abuse and physical abuse. The headline story is that Canadians can stop muslims from killing us by having a coffee with them, and being more humane to them, when they return home to kill us. Heather Mallick wants the latest child being flaunted by the media in Syria, to come to Canada with his family. I guess Christian refugees don’t matter. And Israel is evil story.

    • tom_billesley

Muslims. The only reason I’d turn the other cheek is to fart in their face.

    • Yea, that’ll work.

“And the older population is not part of that. But when you look at the suicide issue, it’s impossible to ignore older Americans. With that in mind, any conversation about guns has to include a conversation [about] gun ownership among older adults.”

Yeah disarm your parents and grandparents so the ferals and other low lives have free reign to rape and pillage those most vulnerable.

    • “We want all the guns and have found a new approach.”

    • tom_billesley

The cost of range practice time should be tax-deductible for senior citizens.

      • “Senior Citizen Discount Ammo Day” at the gun store.

I think Hillary will suffer badly on Election day for her neglect of Louisiana. She and Obama underscore the revolt of the elites and the contemptuous disdain for ordinary people.

Both show a stunning psychopathic lack of empathy. They really don’t care because the suffering does absolutely nothing to advance the cause ™

Larry Correa has a good post about the US media’s deliberate ignoring of new stories that don’the interest them

    • tom_billesley

Louisiana voters are taken for granted. Will they realize?

      • xavier

I think given the biblical scale of the floods and the consequent suffering Louisianans won’t forget the snub this time round come elections

    • Millie_Woods

I beg to differ. In a show of solidarity with Louisianans, Barry put his ball in every water trap on the course yesterday. And Hillary took a bath.

Britain’s largest abortion provider Marie Stopes has suspended half of it’s abortion services, all those all terminations that would involve general anaesthetic or sedation, after a snap inspection of their London HQ by care watchdogs.

Officials raised fears about vulnerable women not being properly safeguarded, problems with training and competence and the use of anaesthesia and sedation.

They also had issues concerning consent – although there were no details over specific worries.

    • xavier

The Kermit Gosnell effect. Over time abortionists become lax, lazy callous and downright evil. Not much different from the chekist and Nazis wetwork/death squads

Systematic murdering of people literally destroys body and soul

    • Murder gets easier with practice.

  • BillyHW

Good morning everyone. OMG I just had this horrible dream that Angela Merkel was being slaughtered like a cow in a meat factory. What do you think it could possibly mean?

    • Clink9

      Was it halal slaughter?

    • Justin St.Denis

What was “horrible” about the dream? Do share.

      • BillyHW

All those poor cows were suffering because it was a Halal shop. :_(
