Canadian left rampant with anti-Americanism

Your anti-Americanism is showing … and it’s not flattering on you.

The insufferable tendencies of the anti-American left in this country are back with a vengeance, and the Republican nominee for president of the U.S. is to blame.

Sort of.

  • Norman_In_New_York

The American left is anti-American. Why should the Canadian left be “holier than the pope?”

    • This is true;)

    • NoPasaran

Actually the Canadian left are even worse. They crave INSTITUTIONAL control of opinion and are rather nonchalant about the risks this involves.

      • Justin St.Denis

The Canadian Left has ALWAYS been anti-American, whereas the American Left evolved to that state, so to speak. As a “dual citizen” with a foot in both camps and skin in both games, I had to learn two histories thoroughly, two systems of government like the back of my hand, and two national psyches intimately. Canada will always be anti-American because the frailty of its own identity has stood in the way of national accomplishment. For example, I have Cdn. relatives who will not speak to me because of my American father and citizenship. This attitude is not reflected by ANY on the American side of my family. Nobody was surprised when I married an American girl, altho her Asian racial background raised an eyebrow or two on both sides of the Canada/US border at the time.

        • K1

          My eye-brows are raising…
…you can not tell who a criminal is…
….until you catch them doing stuff …..
          …they want ‘tall’ children
          …they want legitimate land rights
I can tell you some awfully hair raising stuff at this point on what they do in Canada…and I am sure they are doing it in the usa

      • Alain

The American Left is no different.

    • ntt1

It is worse than that,Canuck leftoids anti Americanism must be more anti American than the antiamerican Americans in order to prove their leftoids virtues, this is why they drive themselves barking mad

  • NoPasaran

When I’m in Canada, and found this also to be true when I was up in Ottawa last week, I get confronted about every 2 hours with some kind of hate, or am asked “scoping out an apartment in case Trump wins, henh?”

    I have two answers:

    1) what State and county in the do you vote in. Otherwise it’s none of your business whom I vote for. And by the way, the only thing between you and starvation is Americans buying your overpriced rubbish.

    2) Leftists are always threatening to move here because they’re racists who won’t live around Mexicans even though the weather is a million times better.

    • Clink9

I can’t stand anti American Canadians. It such a boring, retarded automatic reflex for most of them. Been surrounded by them all my life.

Yet they all vacation down there ( like us ) and come home to start the bashing again.

      • Waffle

Penis envy is always ugly. Trudeau the Elder burnished it to a high art-form.

        • Maggat

          Burnished what ‘it’?

          • mobuyus

As small as ‘it’ was you could see it at night the burnishing from his fist made it shine like a light.

      • mauser 98

i smack em down hard every time..and they don’t get up
98% are teachers , gubmint slugs

      • mauser 98

yes the worst are teachers in Florida on a golf course

    • moraywatson

What’s good for the USA is good for Canada (and the rest of the freedom loving world). Free speech, free enterprise and the freedom to bear arms, make America great and thank goodness Trump believes in those things.

  • G

    I hope:
    1) Trump wins
2). He has a good memory.
3). He’s the type to carry a grudge

  • RAMA44

One thing for sure,When Trump wins Junior won’t be getting any more invites to the White House!

  • Ed

Reading through the howls in the liberal Canadian press about Trump… a topic over which Canadians have no say, shows they write for each other. For their class. For the accolades of like minded scribblers. If not virtue signalling, its a form of strutting by members of the liberal insiders club.

    • mobuyus

Sanctimonious liberal preening at it’s best.

  • QiPo

Leftists (actually neo-communists) think and act the same all over the world. Folks, they can be smart people, but aren’t smart enough to know why they are cognitively impaired when considering Mr Trump. Yet they are observably extremely impaired when considering Hellery.

  • Maggat

Same mind set that elected trudeau, wynne and what’s her name back there in Alberta.

    • RAMA44

Leftism is an international disease. It is just as much in evidence all over the planet.

  • Canadian Born

I am Canadian and believe what Trump says shut the borders before our countries cease to exist and become just like the middle east which seems like we are almost there. Shame on our provincial and federal governments for doing this to Canada.

  • Because Canadian leftists are struck by their insignificance, hence the irrational hatred.

    • Justin St.Denis

Osumashi, you are really CRUSHING it today! BINGO!

  • Alain

I shall risk stating a different view in that it is NOT anti-Americanism; it is the hatred of the Left for anything and anyone who rejects their ideology and is the same the world over. The same fools pissing their pants over Trump went full orgasm when it was Obama. Obama, like Trudeau, shares the same ideology, so you found none of them being anti-American. I don’t deny that traditionally since the end of WW II far too many Canadians base their identity on not being American, but this is not the same thing. The former really hurts nobody but themselves whereas the second one is a deadly threat to freedom, be it here or in the United States.

    • Perhaps but I think knee-jerk anti-Americanism is more likely, rooted in insecurity.

Margaret Atwood would have NO career if schools made students read Austen or Bronte rather than her drivel.

      • Justin St.Denis

I have a Margaret Atwood Face dartboard in my “man cave” which my wife designed for me last year for my B-day. Nothing quite compares to the sense of joy one derives from nailing the old bag in the eye with a dart after a couple drinkies. 😉

I have requested a Peter Mansbridge Face dartboard as a stocking stuffer next Christmas. Can’t hardly wait!!!!!!!!! 😉

        • I can’t even stand looking at her.

You have the wherewithal to withstand that.

        • Miss Trixie

      • mauser 98

LPoC , CBC , media pound it into our heads
they mate… are incestuous… where their bread is buttered
it starts in the schools.. British and even French history has been scrubbed from schools around here..colonialism ,slave trade forced guilt

        • Guilt is when one feels badly for not having or having done something wrong.

          This is shame.

And I thought shaming was supposed to be bad.

      • Tweety58

When I was in High School we read Bronte,Conrad and Shakespeare.

In Parochial school our “Reader” was All Sails Set which contained stories about Canadian war heroes and poetry by Walter de la Mare.

It was originally published in Canada around the 1950’s and therefore reflected higher moral values of that time.
