Green Party losing members, riding associations as BDS controversy highlights infighting

OTTAWA — The “Rising Star” award at the Green Party’s convention last weekend was awarded to an ex-candidate who didn’t attend and says she recently decided to quit the party.

“Ironic, isn’t it?” said Romy Tittel.

People should study history: the Nazis were greens, the green movement got its start in antisemitic Germany and these facts may well be more than coincidental, and their association may well transcend the Nazi context. We should not feel sorry when the ignorant are woken up to persistent human realities. I am most depressed by all the Jews shocked by the latest reiteration of the alliance.

    • Environmentalism is a religion to many, the Nazis sought to usurp religion’s place in society.

Wasn’t aware of that … thanks. Researching that now.

Hitler himself was an anti-smoking zealot and was against eating meat. In fact he and his party were the PETA of the time.

I love the scene in that Hitler movie where after he kills himself in the bunker everyone outside his room lights a smoke.

    • Justin St.Denis

      True, dat!

  • Jay Currie

The split is encouraging. On the one hand swivel eyed eco loons, on the other, anti-Semitic swivel eyed eco loons… Makes all the difference.

The toxic attitudes of SJWs are always self-defeating in the long term.

Ben Shapiro might be a very smart man but he’s stunted emotionally.
That’s my explanation for his hard on for Michele Fields.

Greta insight … I think we’ve all failed at some point in time or another in that respect.

Congratulations, Green Party. You just walked right into the same trap as the British Labor Party.

If dizzy Lizzie drops this steady gig on principal it could signal the start of a long downward spiral into cheap white wine driven alcoholism and end stage progressivism sad

    • J. C.

      She’ll just claim she was ‘tired’… 😉

      • dance…dancetotheradio

But not from being shagged out.
Everyone would know that was a lie.

    • Justin St.Denis

Dizzy Lizzy already looks half-dead, going by that photo. She may be dropping more than her permanent gig as the head of the Greens. A melted candle looks healthier…..

Does she have a parliamentary pension, yet?
She might step down as leader but won’t leave the Commons until she’s feathered her nest.

        • Minicapt

Two election wins and at least six years in parliament.

          Cheers

            Perfect.
That’s the only reason she was ever really in it.

          • Minicapt

            I blame Jay Currie.

            Cheers

The Green Party is where stupid votes go to die.

    • Justin St.Denis

      Good containment strategy though!

That’s what I’ve always thought about the NDP.

For Green party members obsessed about climate change the Liberals are giving them everything they wanted with carbon taxes and cap and trade schemes. They no longer need to stay in the Green party. They have outlived their uselessness.

      Nice turn of phrase.
