“Job one: Move to repeal the carbon tax”: Jason Kenney on his first acts if elected premier of Alberta
Jason Kenney is on the road in northern Alberta, campaigning for the leadership of the province’s Progressive Conservative Party. He took time out to talk with me on last night’s show, at some length.
I’m pessimistic about Alberta’s future, given the damage the NDP has already done.
Kenney agrees with me that the Notley government’s decision to “sue itself” has further undermined investor confidence at home and abroad.
He knows this because he’s spoken to these investors personally, and what they’ve told him is sobering.
Kenney’s message to people of good will in Alberta is: “Help is on the way.”
More Obama Doublespeak on Iran
The Obama administration has instructed us that Obamacare’s tax is not a tax, that its policy of not enforcing immigration law is “prosecutorial discretion,” and that hundreds of American military personnel on the ground in Iraq and Syria are not “boots on the ground.” So it’s not surprising to hear from the President this week that money paid in exchange for hostages is not a “ransom”.
The administration insists that’s not what we should call the planeload of $400 million in cash that arrived in Iran at the same time as four American hostages were released in January.
Thankfully, the facts are in less dispute than the definition of the word.
Judge Napolitano: It’s a felony to provide assistance to terrorists
BOOM! Wikileaks Confirms Hillary Sold Weapons To ISIS
Although Hillary Clinton has repeatedly denied that she sold weapons to the Islamic Stats while serving as Secretary of State, Wikileaks founder Julian Assange claims he has proof to the contrary. Thepoliticalinsider.com reported: In Obama’s second term, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton authorized the shipment of American-made arms to Qatar, a country beholden to the Muslim Brotherhood, and friendly to the Libyan rebels, in an effort to topple the Libyan/Gaddafi government, and then ship those arms to Syria in order to fund Al Qaeda, and topple Assad in Syria.
WikiLeaks: Assange Joking About ‘Working On’ Trump Tax Hack
You know it’s serious when media calls latest poll “SHOCKING”
Last week, a number of presidential polls showed Hillary Clinton leading Donald Trump by as many as TEN points. It was not pretty. Pundits expected a post-convention bounce of two to three points, but then they couldn’t have predicted (as no one ever can) how Trump’s comments du jour would impact the figures.
Well, you know what? Maybe not so much.
The Washington Examiner calls this latest Reuters poll “shocking” as Trump has virtually erased the majority of Clinton’s lead.
Brazil Arrests ‘Defenders of the Shariah’ Terror Cell Ahead of Olympic Games
In late July, Brazilian counter-terror police arrested a cell of 12 would-be terrorists who were plotting to mount an attack against the games, as reported by CNN. Ten were reportedly arrested initially followed by two later arrests.
Police were able to catch the cell by monitoring communications on the messaging service WhatsApp. The group called itself the “Defenders of the Shariah.”
Black Votes Matter: Clinton Campaign Doesn’t Want Police Union Endorsement
Top officials at the biggest police union in the country are upset with Hillary Clinton, saying she snubbed them.
The leader of the National Fraternal Order of Police told The Hill that the Democrat sent a signal through her staff that she wouldn’t be seeking the union’s endorsement.
It sends a powerful message. To be honest with you, I was disappointed and shocked,” said Chuck Canterbury, the president of the National Fraternal Order of Police.
Iran could have an operational nuke by 2017 end
On Thursday, Aug. 4, US President Barack Obama speaking at the Pentagon said the agreement “has worked exactly the way we said it would,” and even “Israeli defense officials are behind [it]… and now recognize the efficacy of the accord” and that the Iranians “no longer have the short term breakout capacity that would allow them to develop nuclear weapons.”
Hillary Clinton declared at the Democratic Party convention which gave her the presidential nomination: “We put a lid on Iran’s nuclear program without firing a single shot.”
Both these claims may be called hyperbolic at best and drew a response from Tel Aviv.
Obama Credits Muslim-American Patriotism With Suppressing Terrorist Networks Here
“One of the reasons that we don’t have networks cells that are as active here as they are in certain parts of Europe is because the Muslim-American community in this country is extraordinarily patriotic and largely successful, fights in our military, and serves as our doctors and nurses.
“There are communities in which they are raising their kids with a love of country and a rejection of violence. That has to be affirmed consistently. If we screw that up, then we are going to have bigger problems.”
So Muslims do have a propensity toward violence, hmmm?
Obama Continues His Crusade against a Criminal-Justice System He Derides as Racist
*Gun control doesn’t matter when Obama wants to release prisoners guilty of gun crimes*
President Barack Obama commuted the sentences of 214 federal prisoners yesterday, part of his ongoing crusade against a criminal-justice system he regularly declares racist and draconian. The White House trumpeted the fact that this was the largest one-day grant of clemency since 1900. Some of the prisoners will be released now; others will have to stay in prison a while longer for more drug rehabilitation.
Many of the commuttees possessed stolen firearms or firearms with their serial numbers obliterated. Some were in violation of National Firearms Registration, which can mean possession of a federally prohibited weapon, such as a machine gun, silencer, or sawed-off shotgun. We don’t know how many guns the offenders actually had; a commuttee during a previous batch of commutations had 40.
Watch how many times Clinton is applauded at a ‘press conference’ in D.C.
A journalism convention this week featuring Hillary Clinton included nearly a dozen instances of attendees clapping and cheering the Democratic presidential candidate.
The applause and hollering came even as the event’s organizers and the Clinton campaign characterized her appearance at the convention as a “press conference.”
Clinton spoke Friday afternoon at the National Association of Black Journalists and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists convention in downtown Washington, D.C. Her prepared remarks, and her answers during a Q&A session that followed, received a warm welcome from an audience comprised mostly of African-American and Hispanic journalists
