America Must Be Ready to Nuke First – “No first use” makes no sense.

A recent article in the Washington Post disclosed the White House’s evident determination to implement new nuclear policies in the final months of the Obama presidency to add to his disarmament legacy. The president declared in his 2009 Prague speech his determination to seek the “peace and security of a world without nuclear weapons.” However, one of the proposals being seriously considered is to declare “no first use” (NFU). This is unwise, inherently dangerous and could very well have the opposite effect by substantially weakening the ability of the United States and its allies to effectively deter aggression.

Trump can easily change that, declaring, “I never say never.” Let’s see what happens.

No. ISIS and the Salafists want the Kabala gone. It’s idolatry in their eyes. It plays into their hand. Keep the Kabala in one piece but bomb everything around it. Let Israel bomb the Aswan dam if push comes to shove. Think strategically.

    Wasn’t that always Obama’s goal?

The US has as much if not more devastating standard munitions compared to its nuclear arsenal. They don’t need nukes to bomb the ME into total capitulation.

  • Hard Little Machine

The April 2010 Nuclear Posture Review by Obama quietly did away with the decades long doctrines of both ‘no first use’ and ‘no use against a non nuclear state’. Everyone is being sold a lie right now by an administration that wants complete freedom to threaten to nuke whoever they like for any reason. One suspects that he will threaten to attack Israel.

In either the NPR 2010 says ‘no first use’ and/or ‘no use against a non nuclear state’ EXCEPT under vague undefined undelineated ‘dire or extreme need’. (their terms not mine.

Obama is actually the ONLY president to use this as a doctrine in the history of the atomic weapons in the US. Be very careful what you wish for.
