The cost of Islam: More armed police to patrol the streets of London in response to Muslim attack threat

More armed police officers are to be deployed on the streets of London amid mounting fears over a possible terrorist attack.

Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe, the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, announced that the first of 600 additional marksmen were ready to start work in the capital.

The announcement follows a string of terrorist incidents in mainland Europe and warnings from the Met chief that an attack in Britain is a matter of “when, not if”.
