Here comes carbon pricing … and it’s going to cost us big-time

Climate Change Minister Catherine McKenna said Friday the Trudeau government will present its plan for a uniform, national carbon price this fall, as part of a larger package of climate change initiatives.

“What we want to see is uniformity in terms of a national price,” McKenna said in an interview with Danielle Bochove of Bloomberg TV Canada. “We need a national price on carbon, so that’s what we are going to have … in the fall.”

Surely Trudeau will be heating and cooling his own home with windmills and solar panels. His choice for travel will undoubtedly be a shared Prius. And of course he’ll refrain from speaking too often, out of fear of discharging way too many hot air filled carbons into the atmosphere.

  • Cat-astrophe

Gee willikers Bat Man, as long as there is uniformity in pricing across Canada, how could anyone find fault with this proposal?
Robin, you asshat, grow a pair and start thinking for yourself!

Still waiting for an explanation on how the “hockey stick” models failed to predict the temperature “pause” of the last 20 years. In the meantime, these twits will not be happy until they’ve made the “Great Leap Forward” into a “brave, new world”.

Mommy I don’t want the pony anymore.. can we take him back?

  • CodexCoder

Yes, McKenna is not the best or brightest, clearly. From Wikipedia: McKenna is trained as a human rights and social justice lawyer. Yes, no science background, (and it shows), and drinking the SJW koolaid. May God preserve us from meddlers with no logic, and no background except feelings and narrative.

Creating the position of “Climate Change Minister” along with changing the Minister of Foreign Affairs to Minister of Global Affairs made it very clear where we were headed under this government run by unelected radical activists. Meanwhile the average Joe and Jane carry on oblivious to the destruction.

    • Linda1000

I didn’t realize he had changed the name to “Global” to be more UN friendly. Interesting that Theresa May has just combined her Ministry of Climate Change and Energy with Business Innovation and Skills to attract foreign investment.

      • Alain

Same crap, same agenda, but then we knew that May is no conservative.

        • Linda1000

Yes, but it sounds like May is downgrading the emphasis on climate change and carbon plans for Britain and Canada is charging ahead on all the climate change taxation.

  • People voted for this.

They can own it when they can’t warm their homes in the winter.

The problem though is those who refused to vote for this POS with his handlers and crew of crooks must suffer the same. It is already depressing enough to have to endure this empty-headed puppet playing at being PM, and now this.

      • His handlers are far removed from whatsoever harm happens to this country.

        Follow the money.

I hope Trump returns the favour of 1812 and burns down Parliament.

Carbon is not the problem. Brain dead morons like Wynn and Trudeau are.
