(and many other non-legacy sources):
Police audio in deadly Minnesota traffic stop could change everything, new evidence reported
An alleged recording of police audio claims to have captured the moments before Philando Castile and his girlfriend Diamond Reynolds were stopped by a Minnesota police officer, questioning Reynolds account of what happened.
Reynolds claimed, in the video she took of Castile as he laid dying, that they were pulled over for a broken tail light. However, the audio recording makes no mention of that.
“I’m going to stop a car,” the officer is heard saying on the recording obtained by KARE. “I’m going to check IDs. I have reason to pull it over.”
The reason, apparently, was the two occupants matched the description of suspects wanted for an armed robbery.
“The two occupants just look like people that were involved in a robbery,” the officer said in the recording.More.
Reality check: Even if that’s true, it makes little difference. The permanent progressive regime has everything to gain and nothing to lose by stoking race grievance violence anyway, as it justifies more authoritarian government. And the very concept of truth is ceasing to mean much; it is all about narrative now.
On the bright side, it would be good for the rest of us to know if the aud is authentic or a ringer.
