Nigel Farage resigns as Ukip leader

Farage steps down but sets Ukip’s sights on disenchanted Labour voters.

“Tough though it has been at times it has definitely all been worth it”, he adds, saying he has never wanted to be a career politician.

“I now feel that I have done my bit… So I feel it’s right that I should now stand aside as leader of Ukip.”

He says he wants his life back, and that starts now.

Nigel Farage has performed miracles and it has probably cost him his health.
    Well done.

    An excellent achievement.
    Well done, good sir.

One of the most consequential politicians in the modern era. If he had not been frozen out of the Brexit negotiations he may have stayed on, but in any case he certainly deserves an honourable retirement. Well done, Nige!

My G-d an honest politician! Be still my heart.

    • Billy Bob Thornton

He was in the EU parliament from 1999 to around 2010. How is that honest? It sounds to me that he is a career politician. What the West does need are ways to move towards individual nation-states.

My interpretation from all of these leaders leaving office right now is that for the next two years the UK has to negotiate its agreement.

Everything will be about finding the best agreement for the UK going forward. No one wants to be talked about or connected to this and have their names in the history books as the fall person. With the UK in decline, the best CON leader will be someone unexpected with a fractured UK.

The sour grapes of a loser.

I do not live in Britain but Brexit to me was fought on the wrong approaches. Immigration was not the reason that Britain now has a 1 billion dollar deficit per week and now Britain is falling below France in terms of GDP lost.

It seems to me that the UK is now going to be reduced even more as a nation due to globalism and UKIP’s party on Wikipedia does state that they are an economic liberal party but populist meaning they still support neoliberalism. The synonym of economic liberalism is clearly defined as neoliberalism. People have to end the curse of neoliberalism meaning Thatcherism and Reaganism to end the decline of the West.

The only differences between the British Conservatives and UKIP were only on the margins.

They also had this ethnic nationalist approach to attract BNP party people. People seem to forget that the BNP party came about because of the financial crisis and the 2010 British election when BNP did very well. UKIP replaced BNP due to the media hammering Nick Griffin and Nick Griffin wanted a truce with Islam and to end the wars. UKIP is very much like Trump in that they are all over the place. People need to be consistent. BNP would have made immigration zero in Britain and they were for full employment. UKIP is for continuing the corporate capitalist problem.

There is so much you are absolutely ignorant about. Well done!

Research: “diligent and systematic inquiry or investigation into a subject in order to discover or revise facts, theories, applications, etc.”
You should attempt it sometime; it could mitigate your inferiority.

A knighthood is in order. Farage risked everything, including his life, for England while ‘Sir’ Paul McCartney and ‘Sir’ Bob Geldof mostly succeeded at being controversial while enriching themselves.

Both sirs made wonderful choices in wives, didn’t they?
