Biafra: Where is the International Community?

On paper, the plight of Biafrans — whose state in what is today southeastern Nigeria, lasted for only three years, 1967-70, before the Nigerian authorities ended it with a genocide against them — should, for the international community, be an open-and-shut case.

Journalists, human rights activists, social justice warriors on campuses throughout the West, and organizations such as the United Nations and the European Union, all ostensibly claim to care deeply about human rights, especially for people whom the Europeans once colonized.

  • Boko Haram continues its war on Nigerian women yet this movement (so far peaceful) get rough treatment?

Stick a fork in Nigeria and damn the West for standing idle.

    • Nigeria is so corrupt no one wants to touch them.

      • I think the truth is that no one cares.

Liket he feminazis cannot be reached for the rape of Europe and the sharia and fgm they support in the West for the sake of multi culti. Phonies.

          • They’re too busy trying to prove who is the bigger victim.

I’d say Nigeria’s troubles are karma for all their corruption and atrocities, especially in the Nigerian Civil War.

You know what…the West has been pouring trillions into africa and all third world nations to no avail…colonialism built infrastructure including hospitals and schools and farms and sewage systems —which they tore down after the colonialists left….so screw off…and now you come to West for social security hand outs and offer nothing but crime and rape and cry ‘well you colonized us’…inbred violent tribes do not belong in civilizations. No apologies; it is history.

I came across this little gem today, it’s kind of a supporting story:

remember Biafra famine of the 1970’s ? .. what have they done to help themselves?

  • UCSPanther

Joseph Stalin would have been proud of how the Nigerians put down the Biafran rebellion back in the day.

The Ibo/Igbo where Christians. The west wanted them all dead. It’s axiomatic.

    • I have Igbo friends.

I get the sense that people want peace but it’s not always possible.
