Pope Benedict reveals he was put under pressure by Vatican ‘gay lobby’ trying to wield power

Pope_Benedict_XVI[1]Pope Benedict has revealed a ‘gay lobby’ in the Vatican tried to influence decisions during his papacy – but that no-one pressured him to resign.

His memoirs, called ‘The Last Conversations’, are due out in September and are the first time in history that a former pope judges his own pontificate after it is over.

Citing health reasons, the 89-year-old became the first pope in six centuries to resign when he stepped down in 2013.

  • Amazing. The Vatican is more afraid of the “Gay Lobby” than it was ever afraid of the the Communists, the Nazis, or the Islamo-fascists. What does that say about the Gay Lobby? Are they bigger mass-murderers than the former? If we keep heaping so much unmitigated power on them maybe some day they will be…

    • Pope Emeritus Benedict said that they didn’t influence his decision to retire.

He managed to pi$$ off both the gays and the Muslims.

      Wundebar, Pope Benedict.

The fact that there is such a thing as a ‘gay lobby’ in the Vatican means something is horribly wrong.

    • Sadly, there is a gay lobby everywhere.

        That was so gay!

So, how long have the homosexuals been in controll of the Catholic Church?
No later than Vatican II and likely a few decades before that, if we looked hard enough.

Not necessarily so. When, in the 11th Century, Pope Urban II brought in reforms which included stamping out clerical marriage, he was lax about homosexuality (introduction to Georges Duby’s “The Knight, the lady, and the priest”. It wasn’t until the 13th century, when heterosexual celabacy had become the norm, that the church turned against homosexuality.

I’m thinking much later than that, certainly 20th century.

        • Frances

They’ve been there on and off for centuries. Was one of the issues during the reformation, made worse – as I recall – by a ?bishop ?cardinal becoming enamoured of a fairly young man and eventually promoting said young man (his “catamite”) to fairly high office in the church.

            What about all the monasteries?

          • Frances

Have no authoritative information about them. Probably did occur. Sexuality will break out.

I have said it before, but I will say it again. Leftists waged a large effort against homosexual abuse by priests, yet now those same leftists want homosexual perversion approved by the church.

    • Pope Emeritus Benedict cleaned out the seminaries. No one liked that.
