ISIS releases images from mobile phones of three Russian soldiers it claims to have killed in Syria

The Islamic State claims to have killed three Russian soldiers in Syria, in what would be an alarming development for Moscow’s nine-month long entanglement in the war-torn country, if it is confirmed.

Al-Amaq, a news agency associated with Isil, published photographs on Wednesday showing the remains of what it said was a Russian army truck that was destroyed by an improvised explosive device (IED) on the main highway into the terror group’s stronghold of Raqqa on Wednesday.
