    I am not impressed by 3D printing, the result is a porous poorly bonded model that is fragile and warped due to uneven cooling and virtually useless except as an intermediary casing object and only then, after a lot of prep.

    • And extremely slow. Some people are excited about the fact that you can print out a rifle stock. But by the time it’s finished you could have carved out a dozen rifle stocks with a lathe or common woodworking tools.

        Our art departments love the concept of godlike creativity unfortunately very few have the strength of vision to imagineer anything beyond absurd latte combos. A shitty concept prints out as a shitty product without the bonus of tradesmen intermediaries to shoulder the blame
