The next US president must carry a big stick

Just over a quarter of a century ago, the liberal West celebrated triumph in the Cold War. Its victory was underpinned by an evolving strategy of containment, détente, proxy battles and rollback that defeated the Communist bloc without unleashing nuclear war. After unimaginable bloodshed during the 20th century, the fall of the Berlin Wall signalled a triumphal note for the beginning of the next one. Today, less than a generation after the “end of history”, such hopes are all but forgotten, as the global order cracks under a combination of strains either long ignored or wilfully dismissed.

I can imagine Trump throwing his weight around. I can’t imagine Hillary or Bernie doing the same.

I can imagine Hillary trying to throw her weight around, getting involved in multiple military adventures and making a mess of every single one. If Bernie gets in then it is time to start hoarding toilet paper.

But he’s only got small hands! How is that going to work!?!?

  • The Islamic theological blueprint is the world’s largest problem. As a whole, it simply creates social dysfunction.

Islam’s claim of religious legitimacy whitewashes open discussion of the problem.

A “religion” cannot have “scripture” that encourages devout followers to commit violence.

The world ignores these passages for fear of offending Muslims. And Islam continues to generate millions of unidentifiable jihadis.

We will never overcome Islamic terror without Islamic theological reformation.

PC fantasies keep us from dealing with the biggest problem on earth.

A religion without a golden rule is not a religion. It is a cult.
