Get Ready for the Biggest Media Assault You’ve Ever Seen—Aimed Squarely at Trump

In case you’re under some kind of illusion that Donald Trump now has a clear path to the presidency, let me enlighten you about what has likely been set in motion tonight. First, let’s take a look back at Barack Obama’s first election. Do you remember when the media set aside their journalistic standards and became full-time sycophants for Obama?

The media will accuse Trump of being a Nazi who hates women, minorities, and gays? But how is that different than the way they treat every other Republican candidate?

    • They’ll also say he is child molester.

      • Miss Trixie

… and he sautées kittens in sriracha for lunch.

I absolutely despise the media. My mom can’t understand why I leave the room when she puts on the CBC, Global or Vancouver “news”.

        • Justin St.Denis

I have heard that he likes to accompany his sautéed kittens with a bejeweled goblet of warm muslim baby blood. Can you confirm?

          • Miss Trixie

            *snort*

Only before Friday prayers. You know – to inflict the full islamonausea effect upon the perpetually offended in rubber pants.

I always laugh at the sriracha people.
          We called it cock sauce.

          • Is it different from tabasco?

          • dance…dancetotheradio

            Yes.

          • Why? Seriously. Should I buy it?

          • dance…dancetotheradio

            I don’t know.
            It’s a matter of taste.
We called it cock sauce because the bottles have a white embossed picture of a rooster on it.
            I prefer tabasco.
That reminds me that I have to pick up some tabasco.
My daughter scampered downstairs the other day and was disappointed when I told her we didn’t have any left in the cupboard.
She eats tuna the way I do.
With lemon juice, seasoning salt, tabasco and canola oil.
            Right from the can.
            She’s such a daddy’s girl.
            I’m happy for that.

          • She sounds like she knows what she’s doing. Have you introduced her to Worcestershire sauce?

          • dance…dancetotheradio

            Yes, I have.
And she loves it as well.
            My wife hates it.
But, that’s what you get when you marry a woman who is half Icelandic.
            I love her, too.

          • Marmite?

          • dance…dancetotheradio

            I’m not Australian.
A few months ago I brought home some flakes of ham and got a weird look.

          • That’s Vegemite! Anyway I must be away. God, it’s awful here. rainy and stuff. I should move to Oz.

          • dance…dancetotheradio

It almost never rains in Gillam.

          • Iceland. Ever been?

          • dance…dancetotheradio

No, but I’ve been to Hecla Island.

          • That sounds like “ceviche” — except in Latin America they use raw fish. I just threw my remaining bottle of tabasco in the garbage — it seemed to go bad in just a few short months.

          • So sriracha? Is it worth trying?

          • I don’t know. What is it?

          • Some sort of fashionable spicy condiment.

          • Okay I looked it up — seems to be from Thailand, basically the same thing as hot sauce or “tabasco” (and I’m aware of my heresy here). I tried something from Indonesia once that was so hot the guy carried it around in a little vial and dropped it on his food with a toothpick. It was from a special hot pepper grown there that they first rendered into a paste to make it super-concentrated.

          • dance…dancetotheradio

Tabasco doesn’t last long enough to go bad in my house.
            Neither does tuna fish.

          • dance…dancetotheradio

In a way that is like throwing out scotch because it’s too old.

          • I usually make my own hot sauce — the one I threw out was a new brand, first time I saw hot sauce go bad.

Make your own: 4 tbls chili powder, 4 finely chopped jalapenos, 2tbls ground black pepper, 4 cloves garlic finely chopped, teaspoon salt, teaspoon sugar, chives, finely chopped serrano peppers (and whatever else you want throw in for capsaicin heat ratings). Just render the whole thing down in a small amount of water, then squish it up and render it further in olive oil, then just add wine vinegar, bottle it and stick it in the fridge.

          • dance…dancetotheradio

            I’ll try it.

          • I should have said “minced”. And you can add ground coriander seed (not too much cause it can be overpowering), and other spices.

          • dance…dancetotheradio

            This is mincing.
            I love Julian Clary.
Must be something in the water in Britain, though.

          • marty_p
          • Dried coriander is hard to get, but I can usually find the ground seed wherever they sell ME spices (maybe the same thing).

          • I blame dance for getting off topic again. 😉

    • Petrilia

They all voted for him, proving he crosses every political line. The pundits have been wrong every time, wasting hundreds of millions of dollars. This is going to be a lot of fun.

      • Una Salus

Who all voted for him? He crosses all the lines in blue states that are going to stay blue because voter turnout for him was tiny in comparison with the Dems.

      • Miss Trixie

        I know! *grin*

        I’ll buy the popcorn!

      • Miss Trixie

        Yup! *hugs*

    • Una Salus

How’s that different from the ridiculous claims Trump has made about opponents? The only difference is he’s about to get smeared now.

      • PapayaSF

The difference is that the mainstream always goes along with insulting, outlandish charges against Republicans. Now that a Republican is making them, people clutch their pearls.

        • Una Salus

Oh, I see the difference is that MSM is nasty and unfair like Trump. We all know that but Trump can’t complain about it.
When you sell your principles to win you better win.

          • PapayaSF

There’s also the fact that it’s one person vs. thousands of media organizations.

          • Una Salus

Trump has whole organisations behind him. He’s had the lion’s share of media attention up till now. What’s he going to do? Scream about a rigged system?

          • Norman_In_New_York

What organizations? He has been a maverick throughout the campaign and up to this point has set a new record for garnering the most Republican primary votes based on that stance.

          • Una Salus

Well you’d have to be blind not to see FOX has been slavishly fawning over him. Apparently this claim of the most primary votes is bogus like so much to do with Trump. He doesn’t yet have the record. He may well get it.

          • Norman_In_New_York

            Really? Ask Megyn Kelly.

          • G

Norman, forget it. Because maybe one or two FOX talking head *DIDN’T* say something negative about Trump then suddenly according to this twit, the entire MSM is in Trump’s back pocket.

And, of course, because you pointed out that Trump has brought in numerous votes in dumb ass here says they are bogus. Sssssuuurre they are Salus.

He’s winning. Sream until you’re hoarse, stamp your feet & hold your breath until you turn blue. Nobody cares. He’s still winning. Now STFU and go off & pout.

          • Una Salus

The entire MSM hates Trump except for a few exceptions. That has nothing to do with what I’m talking about.

          • Una Salus

Look he might have got it by now. Big deal. This is an important election. He only got about 53% of the total vote if I’m not mistaken. He’s alienated many people so I don’t think that’s going to save him. It’s a nice trophy for him.

          • G

It *IS* a rigged system you dumb ass.

Can you say without reservation that the MSM isn’t liberally biased? Can you say that the MSM isn’t biased against Trump? If so you are not only stupid but a liar as well.

He’s winning moron. You’re just pissy because the peasants didn’t choose one from your pre-approved list of candidates.

Don’t like the fact that he kicked Bush’s, Rubio’s & Kasich’s asses? Sucks to be you princess. Nobody cares. Personally, I’m enjoyed seeing parasites like you foam at the mouth with Trump hatred.

Maybe if these elitist scumbags you adore so much had actually DONE something about the problems people are furious about then Trump would not be where he is. But they DIDN’T do anything. They sat on their asses, & played the politically correct games and suckholed to the media and whiny pressure groups and let Obama fuck the world.

          • Una Salus

If you read my comments you’d understand that MSM liberal bias is exactly what I’m confirming. I’m just saying Trump doesn’t get my sympathy.

          • Kell

            OOOAAAH!

          • vimy

“He’s had the lion’s share of media attention.”Yes but only because they thought it would bring him down. Well guess what after the handjob they gave Obama every chance they got people just don’t consider what they have to say anymore as relevant to the process anymore.

          • Una Salus

Ratings had something to do with it too but the media is slow and insistent and under the constant barrage of liberal bias most people take parts of it in eventually simply by process of osmosis. The public mood is like the weather but the media never changes its tune.

This is why when they get serious and they are going to get serious with Trump now there’s going to be a problem.
All Trump’s inconsistencies and short cuts may well blow up in his face but really it’ll be our faces since so many people have so unthinkingly hitched their wagon to him just because he’s given voice to some of their concerns.
If you look at what he’s done then you start to wonder where that voice is coming from.

    • Dave In Guelph

      Exactly.

  • Brett_McS

They will hold off for now; they want this race to appear competitive for a good while yet, for the ratings.

    • Una Salus

They’ve got us exactly where they need us now, no need to rush

  • Observer

Do you really think the Muslim Brotherhood will allow Trump to live and for their subservient Democrat candidate not to win?

    • Petrilia

Do you think Trump will allow the muslim brotherhood to live? and to continue to run American politics as they have been? Mexico has started to be conciliatory, China is wondering. New times coming folks and it is going to be good for we in the Free World.

      • Kell

        Free? Where?
        ROFLMFAO!

  • Petrilia

From what I understand so far, Trump outplays all of them, always has, always will. You know he plays chess, they are learning checkers. He did not get to be Trump by not always knowing everything about where to go next. Even one of the never Trump operatives admitted today, Hillary will not know what to do against a guy who has 10 arms and 8 legs. I am very pleased that he is unpredictable. Look at what he has done against 17 opponents in 10 months.

    • Brett_McS

Trump is a creation of the media. Whether or not they can destroy their own creation is an open question.

  • Dave In Guelph

So what have they been doing that’s different up to this point?

  • Brett_McS

The other reason the media will hold-off (for now) on the all out assault on Trump is that they will want to get as many Republican leaders (Governors etc) to fall in behind Trump so that they can brand the whole Republican Party with him. As Andrew Klavan has said many times, the Democrats have always used a straw man version of the Republicans to aim criticism at them, but that straw man has now been personified in Donald Trump. The Democrats have spun the straw into gold.

    • Una Salus

I think Trump was always their golden straw man. I’m waiting to hear his redemption song personally.

  • Ford Prefect

Please pj media they have been clutching there prayer beads since last June.

  • Alain

Actually the media had no standards even prior to Obama. They lost all credibility long before that.

    • dance…dancetotheradio

      We are the media now.
      Trump is the message.

  • Cat-astrophe

This is going to be a blast.

  • jack burns

Trump will change tactics and vary the tempo. An enfilade will likely be the opener however. Clot will need lots of yoga and medication.

  • jack burns

Liberals/progs/swine play to themselves and to each other, not to their targets. Their racket will be ginned up by the MSM but the effect won’t go beyond being white noise.

  • Jay Currie

This should be fun. Trump is a counter puncher. You hit him he hits you three times in the solar plexes and, when the ref is distracted, twice in the kidneys. The press have no idea how to play Trump. They have seen teflon before, but knot teflon that bites back twice as hard.

You don’t have to love Trump to enjoy watching him play rope a dope with a bunch of in the tank hacks.

  • John

Not just The Donald, but his supporters as well. They’re racist, bigoted, misogynistic, xenophobic, islamophobic, anti-Semitic, red-necked, knuckle-dragging, Far Right neanderthals.

    So there!

    • Kell

      Thanks for the compliments!

  • Hard Little Machine

The way to savage Hillary is to savage Obama. Aim at Obama with the most vitriolic hatred you can muster. That way he will throw her to the wolves.
