Can humanity live without borders?

“The reaction against borders runs parallel with a loss of nerve about making moral distinctions, underpinned by a reluctance to make any big or serious value judgments. One of the most serious problems afflicting the West today is the unwillingness to ‘hold the line’ – and this now influences even how nation states behave and conceive of themselves.”

  • Would Japan be better off with 1 million Muslims?

    • They are smart enough to just say no.

      • Canadian Born

Junior does not have the smarts to say no. Wait yes he does he says no to white people and yes to foreigners. Boy are we screwed.

        • Alain

Junior only does what he is told by his unelected advisors or should I say the ones pulling his strings.

    • Short answer: no.

    • WalterBannon

I am pretty sure Canada would be better off with 1 million Japanese instead of all our muslims…

  • Raymond Hietapakka

“Post-Nation State”..does that mean I can ignore all Federal Laws now? Oh boy…sound suppressors and selective-fire must be O.K. now..

    • DD_Austin

      More like posthumous-Nation

      and sired Crapada

  • If we are in the “post-national state” of our social evolution, why doesn’t PM Trulander have squatters in his house?

    • WalterBannon

If we are in the “post-national state” why do we have to put up with Turdeau as PM. How about we have no politicians and instead have direct votes on everything by the public using some cable TV app….

  • Ron MacDonald

George Soros is for open borders, he must have funded a large part of Stupid’s campaign.

    • Ed Ellison

Either that or the House of Saud had a big donation.

      • Alain

        No either, it was both.

As a “mainstream to the core” white, Christian, heterosexual, married Canadian, I think this guy is a power-idiot. Just saying this platitude doesn’t make it so. Man, it’s gonna be a long four years.

    • Ford Prefect

Power idiot. Just when you think you have heard them all. Your rght about a long for years.

      • Editor

At least we’ve got our towels.

  • john700

The answer is Yes. But only for a few years. Then, it gets bloody and deadly.

  • Alain

There will always be borders be they nation state borders or tribal borders. Open borders always leads to the balkanisation of a country where different and opposing tribal groups, or cultural and linguistic groups if you prefer, mark out and defend their territory. This is not a better or more enlightened future for any country.

  • vimy

A post nation state would only lead to more borders in the future.

  • mitchel44

    No borders, no sweat.
I’m going to move onto the land controlled by my local reserve, set up a shack, call on the Metis ancestry that we share, insist we are brothers and that borders between us are racist on their part, call in the media and away we go….

  • Alain

Since we are supposedly a “post nation”, short-pants should explain why he resurrected from the dead the long form census.

  • canminuteman

A world without borders will eventually look like the world in the Mad Max movies. There will be chaos, and lawlessness. That will lead to Strongmen forming gangs to protect the week, for a price. Those strongmen will end up controlling their own territory and establishing rules. They will decide who gets to live in their territory and establish border controls and identity documents to control it. Then we will be back where we started because I imagine this is basically how countries started int he first place.
