Two more arrests over murder of Rochdale imam – one man held on suspicion of raising funds for terrorism

Two more people have been arrested in connection with the murder of popular imam, Jalal Uddin.

The 64-year-old was discovered with a head injury in a playground on South Street, Wardleworth, Rochdale , shortly before 9pm on February 18th.

He was taken to hospital but died a short time later.

A 28 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder, and a 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of arranging funds for terrorism.

A third man, aged 21, who had previously been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder is in custody for further questioning after answering bail today.

This brings the total number of individuals arrested in connection with the murder to six.

What they fail to mention is that all those arrested are Muslims.
