Salah Abdeslam has ‘intellect of an ashtray,’ says lawyer as he is handed over to France

Salah Abdeslam, the prime Paris attacks suspect, has been handed over to France, Belgium’s federal prosecutors have confirmed.

The transfer came as his ex-lawyer described the 26-year-old thought to have played a key logistical role in the November Paris attacks that left 130 dead as having “the intellect of an ashtray”, a so-called Islamist who had never read the Koran and lived his life as if in a “GTA (Grand Theft Auto) game”.
