Islam franceA Muslim shopkeeper who only allowed women to enter his store on weekends has been forced to close his business after sparking a sexism row.

Jean-Baptiste Michalon was fined €500 (£390) for ordering different opening hours for men and women at his general store in the French city of Bordeaux.

Michalon, who converted to Islam in 2012, created an uproar when he pasted a notice outside his shop in June 2015 indicating different shopping hours for men and women.
