British ex-boxer of Pakistani origin is arrested in Italy on suspicion of funding ISIS

A British former professional boxer has been arrested in Italy on suspicion of trying to deliver cash to an ISIS sleeper cell.

Named locally as Hussain Shamshir, the 34-year-old, who is of Pakistani origin, was allegedly carrying a false British passport when he was arrested in Rome on Saturday.

He was travelling in a car alongside two other Pakistani men and a Kurdish man, who were all released later after questioning.
