Gives new meaning to the term “Premature Ejaculation”.

        Nice strongly built mosque.
Won’t take long to clean up the tiled areas and get new classes started.

  • I prefer this breakfast. Café-croissants.

    • I’ve been known to eat refried beans and hot Italian sausage for breakfast after pulling an all-nighter. But café-croissants is by far the saner choice.

        I don’t normally eat breakfast.
But when I do I choose bacon and eggs.
Although, having worked in the industry for twenty five years I learned how to make a mean Spanish omelette.

  • “Merkel Ally Proposes ‘Church Tax’ On Muslims”

A “jizya” on Muslims collected by the “Crusaders”? Giving ’em a “taste of their own medicine”? Nope, it’s so the secular Government can manage their Mosques for them instead of foreign funders such as the Sauds. What???

Probably looking to get in a high priced turkish expert consultant well steeped in the taxation practices of erdoganism. But it isn’t much of a reach. At least in times past “the dominant church (Pope Evita Bergoglio prop. for example )” of assorted German states got to levy a property or rent surcharge on all inhabitants of said locale for the upkeep of the state religion.

      • A rather perverse application of the principle of “tithing”.

      • tom_billesley

The medieval church in England held “glebe” land, income from which was used to support a parish priest. When this land was sold freehold, a “chancel repair liability” was attached. The liability was forgotten until recently when church commissioners started digging around in old records. This came as a shock to some property owners when out of the blue they got a demand to pay the considerable cost of re-roofing a church.

    • It’s nonsense of course, not gonna happen, German leadership has no sense of self preservation.

Bank of England sticks with white man for new £20 note, alongside picture of warship that fought the French,

    • AlanUK

Once the decision was made to feature the a British artist the choice of Turner, the greatest and most influential British artist, was automatic.

His use of light and colour was amazing. “The Fighting Temeraire” is a superb example of this. In addition, it is far more than a “picture of warship that fought the French”. It shows a glorious, but fading, old lady of a previous era being pulled to its final destruction by a “Dirty British coaster with a salt-caked smoke stack” (to miss-apply ‘Cargoes’ by John Masefield). A tiny vessel powered by coal and steam is replacing the finest the nation could produce. We are moving on – the old ship is already indistinct and fading. The new is out in front and clearly defined.
