Spain: Courses on Islam in Public Schools

The Spanish government has published new guidelines for teaching Islam in public preschools and primary and secondary schools.

The guidelines are being touted as a way to prevent Muslim children and young people from being drawn into terrorism by exposing them to a “moderate” interpretation of Islam.

On closer inspection, however, the guidelines — drafted by the Islamic Commission of Spain and approved by the Ministry of Education — are aimed at stirring religious fervor and promoting Islamic identity among young Muslims in Spain.

The left would accept a change to “Itbah Al-Yahud”.

Considering that Spain suffered for centuries under Islamic oppression, it’s astonishing that they are so willing to make this kind of accommodation. At least the Hungarians and Poles haven’t forgotten their history.

Stockholm Syndrome. Besides, the Hungarians and Poles weren’t occupied for almost 8 centuries.

    ” … a “moderate” interpretation of Islam.”
Would that involve only killing infidels and raping children once a week?

I’m pretty sure they don’t intend to teach the kids about the muslim conquest of SPain, the hundreds if years of dhimmitude and the liberation and rise of Spain as a world power as a result.
