The Twitter jihadi: Man admits encouraging support for Islamic State by sending 8,000 tweets

An Islamic State fanatic has admitted sending thousands of tweets encouraging terrorism.

Mohammed Moshin Ameen, 23, from Steven Road, Dagenham, east London, pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey to five counts of encouraging the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism on Twitter.

The messages via various different accounts on the social media site were sent by Ameen in the six months between May and October last year.
