“Everybody is going to be way more prepared,” said Indira Stewart, a Toronto-based criminal defence lawyer. “I expect it will be very different for the Crown and they’ll take a different approach.”

Everyone likely learned something from the first trial.

“There is room for the CBC to be drawn into this.”

Ghomeshi is the type of guy I totally hate, but in this instance, I’ll hold my nose and wish him well, temporarily.
I hope he ‘beats the rap’, and in spite of that vindication, that his career still goes down in flames.

Given this charge stems from case of sexual assault against a coworker at the cbc offices and not a disgruntled ex-lover I think it is more likely to end in conviction. The CBC also investigated it and tried to sweep it under the rug, and the women complained to the cbc right away rather than waiting over a decade.
