‘Why is she allowed to grab me?’: Trump slams reporter’s assault allegations

“He was trying to block her, and she’s grabbing me and asking questions and she’s not even supposed to be asking questions, and she runs up [to me]. I think it’s a disgrace,” Trump fumed Tuesday before a rally in Janesville, Wis.

“I know many people who saw that tape [of the encounter], and they said, ‘You gotta be kidding!’ adding that he “would have fired [Lewandowski] in two seconds” if he thought the aide had done something wrong.

“You take a look at her initial statement, and it sounded like she got thrown out of a building,” Trump said, claiming that Fields changed her story after the video emerged, a charge she denied via Twitter.

The media hysteria of the first accounts made it sound like she was raped by a Biker Gang.

The media will do anything to bring Trump down, but they forget that after the Obama coronation only idiots believe a word the MSM spews out.

  • Just another leftist liar hiding behind the “journalist” mask.

    • Brett_McS

She was a journo at Breitbart. They don’t employ leftists.

      • G

        Doesn’t matter.
A journalist is a journalist like a turd is a turd.
Some stink more than others but they are all equally repulsive.

      • dance…dancetotheradio

        Journalists never chase a paycheque.

      • Leftist is a state of mind, a bundle of values.

  • pdxnag

I think anti-Trump Ben Shapiro went full crybully here.

  • DavidinNorthBurnaby

“only idiots believe a word the MSM spews out.”
Sadly, there’s no shortage of idiots, and of course, there are more being spawned and “raised” all the time. 🙁

    • DD_Austin

and imported for even more idiot goodness

Some even post here, and use scottish handles the gobshite amadans

  • WalterBannon

Things are going to get better under President Trump.

  • simus1

If a journo is making a total pest of herself and gets her leg run over by a tank, I would admire her reckless tenacity to get the story, but support her charging the driver with attempted murder?

  • Brett_McS

Fields’ story has stayed exactly the same since the get go. The Trump camp’s story on the other hand has changed every day. It’s easy to tell who’s lying.

    • andycanuck

So you think she was almost thrown to the ground? (Don’t make me get her full quote, please.)

      • Brett_McS

Get the full quote. Including the voice recording at the time of her talking with the other journo who say what happened. Her story has been consistent all along. Trump’s has gone from “nothing happened, she’s lying” to “yeh, but she assaulted me first”.

        • andycanuck

So you are going to ignore what she said and that had all the MSM making it sound like she had been punched in the head. Thanks, I’ll ignore you in the future.

    • Clink9

I guess that’s why she was canned.

      • Brett_McS

She resigned because Breitbart didn’t support her; instead putting out articles implying she was lying or delusional, in order to protect Trump. Shaprio resigned for the same reason.

  • Gary

The video by the media shows how the event was over and as Trump was leaving SHE came at him and was push away .

But the media wants a story so they hype it as an assault to her and then run the video to focus on when she was touched not when she attacked Trump.

    • BeukendaalMason

Actually, in the video she is walking next to Trump for a while (presumably when she had the “audacity” to ask him questions) and then within a second or two she is pulled from her side/behind to 3 to 5 feet behind him (its tough to get the full details as the Trump campaign released such a low grade video). Ms. Fields story holds out better then the Trump campaign’s. But hey, Trump will give us Security, Health Care, and Education as those are what he believes are the three main priorities of Government (as stated at the recent Wisconsin Town Hall).

      • Clink9

I’ve read a new channel is starting devoted to playing this story 24/7.

        • DavidinNorthBurnaby

          Financed by George Soros?

  • Brett_McS

It’s a nice illustration of the ‘stickiness’ of attitudes. They typically move like a ratchet under steady pressure from accumulating facts. Not evenly, but in jumps. Eventually, as we say, the penny drops and most people realize the truth: In this case that Trump uses his wealth and power in the manner of a thug. He is therefore totally unsuited for the most powerful office in the country; certainly as a Republican.

  • Concerned Canadian

I find most comments rather interesting. Looks like most folks are in Trump’s camp. The real issue here is that after the “event” Trump and his cronies do what they always do when caught in a lie. ” I did not touch her”. They then went into character assassination mode calling her delusional, a liar, etc. They managed to turn a small event into a major story. A simple apology would have put it to rest. But Trumps rather enormous ego would not let him.
