Montreal Muslim to be charged with terrorism-related offence has terrorist brother in Syria

The young man who sparked the evacuation of several blocks of Pierrefonds as well as the Sunnybrooke train station Tuesday will appear in court Wednesday to be charged with terrorism-related offences.

Omar Elabi, 20, is suspected of having posted a threatening video online Monday night, leading police to believe there may have been explosives in the house on Laurin St.

He does not have a criminal record. But his older brother, Sami Elabi, is well known to police and researchers as a possible link among radical youths in Montreal.

Sami Elabi left for Syria in April, 2013, where he joined Jabhat al Nusra, al-Qaida’s branch in Syria, and is still there.

“Sami Elabi left for Syria in April, 2013 …”
Where we can only hope there’s a missile with his name on it. US, maybe French, but of course, not Canadian, ’cause well, you know.

Sure careful not to mention the “”M” word, aren’t they? Now, imagine if Joos or Christians were involved.

Montréal is full of them. The Montréal North and the Park Ex neighborhoods are chock full of fundies.
