nr’s jihad against trump—and america

National Review’s jihad against Donald Trump turned against Americans themselves with Kevin Williamson’s screed, “Chaos in the Family, Chaos in the State: The White Working Class’s Dysfunction.” He writes about such working-class cities as Wayne, Mich., where I grew up after I was born in 1955. To this day, one-sixth of the city is the Michigan Assembly Plant. It’s a shot-and-beer town. Up until the 1974 Depression, the only way you could avoid providing for your family—your wife staying home with the kids and a cottage up North on a lake—was if you were too lazy to work an assembly-line job that, admittedly, sometimes could be tough. Almost every guy was happy to do it.

I’d love to know NR’s readership numbers these days. Any time i go to their web page and scan the story titles I roll my eyes and move on.

NR’s website also takes forever to load and I have a fast connection and processor.

Shit moves down the internet pipes at a slower rate than normal postings. I was taught to always view networking like plumbing. as the left goes postal I think this is even more of an analogy.

Totally discredited as a valid relevant commentator on the American zeitgeist in less than a month…
    Wonderful to see……
We’re witnessing a revolution folks…the old Schlesinger pendulum has swung back.

    Thanks to Donald Trump…

The reaction to Trump of many so called conservative websites has redefined the number of them that I visit.
I’ll give you an example of a similar situation.
About ten years ago Peter Schiff was on TV warning rather correctly that the housing bubble was going to burst.
There were three other people around that table and they all laughed at him.
      Preposterous! they said.
Now, two of those people were scumbags and I wouldn’t trust them to wash my car let alone listen to their opinions.
But, the other one I did read and I did respect his opinion on most things.
He, above the rest, should have known that Peter Schiff was right on the money and backed him up.
Sure enough, the bubble burst within months and all hell broke loose.
There was never a mea culpa issued by this man for his stupidity.
And I even called him out on his comment boards.
Since then I haven’t read or watched anything Ben Stein has to say.

      • I’d like to invite Stein over for, shall we say, repartee.

Gutless swine….the gutless swine tried to ruin Derbyshire…tha Lowry prick is a gutless swine.

    • It was a remarkably mean spirited piece by NR, very telling.
