Container Truck Hits Bucket Truck Arm Killing Utility Worker
Poor guy, just doing his job, then BLAMMO!
DBN, doing his job BADLY!
Swing radius is the Holy Gospel of mechanisation!
Having a radius in the path of oncoming traffic – without warning/detour staff – that’s just fucking crazily negligent!
Doing his job.
Sorry, I’m not down on you personally in the comments, it’s just happenstance. Normally, I uptick you where I can. Is it after “Noon” where you are?
No, I get what you are saying, but still…
I’d rather he just got a good scare and not fatally turned into the human trebuchet projectile.
Man that’s gotta suck!
God created LiveLeak to serve as a warning to others.
“my .friend’s mate Is getting 98$. HOURLY. on the internet.”….

Then again, despite the negligent swing radius, if I was screaming past at 300 km/h + in my Maclaren F1 (and fucking believe me, I can afford the petrol because I earn 98$ per hour), the car is so low down that there would be no danger of collision.
I make 729$ per hour. I gave away my MacLaren F1 to a homeless guy a number of years ago after I bought everyone in my family Lamborghinis for Christmas.
But I guess not every one has a sweet job working for the Trump campaign. Poor Leticia Meyers can’t even afford to repair the strap on her raggedy dress!
Wow! I am certainly impressed by your magnanimous gesture!
Whatever made you think that I was homeless back then?
Was that you Maurice? Well, it looks like it didn’t turn out too good for either of us — you’re now driving a ’50’s sedan and I’m driving a ’50’s row-crop tractor. And Leticia took off with all the money from our pyramid scheme.
Anyway, you wanna race? I’ll put my Massey-Harris against your Buick Special any day.
Hah! That, my friend, is a Morris Minor, ’56 or so, out of the good old U.K. 1,100 cc of BMC B-series power, and was in fact the predecessor to the famous Mini Minor, which actually first came out as a “Morris” Minor, but the word “Mini” (note- not capitalised!) was coined.
It ain’t a Buick Special… Alex Issigonis was an absolute genius to package the 1959 Mini in such a small footprint, a feat that is technically impossible today.
8.7, nailed the landing.
Yeah, he like totally “sticked it”!
Harness and lanyard would have saved him.
Crap. Velocity versus mass means that an anchor point will end up being described in the Coronial Inquest as what ACTUALLY killed the worker.
There is nothing that could have saved that flung soul. Nothing.
I agree, the ground-man should be up on charges.
Where this took place I doubt there would be much if any inquest. He didn’t appear to be anchored to an engineered anchor point.
I agree completely – the poor fucker was unexpectedly flung to his demise. There were no height-competent restraints in place.
Yes, I agree that in Brazil you have little protection of the worker.
Next week, even less, I suspect!
However, you just can’t have an anchor point in an articulated bucket, because physical forces (as demonstrated) will overcome any local restraint.
The ground-man should be charged, but he (or she) will not be.
An avoidable tragedy.
The poor fucker should never have been in an articulating boom lift if he was that stupid to have the elbow of the lift in traffic. If he didn’t die this way he probably would have got himself electrocuted sooner or later.
9.5, 9.4, 9.5, 9.6 and a typically low score from the Romanian judge, 8.9
So was the idiot in the picker truck charged?
One would fervently hope so, Rev, BUT it’s Brazil we are talking about…
The bucket kicked him.
OK, you win something.
Heh, hope he had everything crossed off his bucket list.
