Trudeau must speak up on Islamist threat

Canadians are looking for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to deliver a firm response to Monday’s attack on Canadian Forces members. This much is clear from watching reactions pour in across social media. Whatever he says, whatever angle he gives to it — he needs to say something.

More than 24 hours after police allege Montreal-born Ayanle Hassan Ali, 27, walked into a Toronto recruiting centre and wounded two Forces members with a knife and declared, “Allah told me to come and kill people,” the prime minister has only issued a tweet.

  • Ron MacDonald

Progressives have no use for the military.

    • My hope is that Trudeau is simply an aberration, but Barry got in twice so maybe Canada is too far gone down the rabbit hole.

That pretty well sums it up for me too. The next few provincial elections – or at least the Alberta one – might prove to be bell weathers for conservatism and plain common sense in this country as a whole. I’ve given up on Ontario but if Alberta re-elects Notley when the time comes … it would be a very bad sign for the entire nation, not just for Alberta.

        • Ontario is a special case, the combination of the Federal and Provincial public service union members who reside here has turned the province into a kleptocracy.

    • JoKeR

      That’s unfair!

Sure they all got free housing, and free settlement grants, dental, medical, and even computers, but the government is refusing all their demands for thousands of pressure cookers so they can feel at home! 😉

Justin will have to check for root causes and get back to you.

    I’m guessing someone felt excluded.

Funny how all the best Prime Ministers and terrorists come from Montreal.

    • This attack interfered with his upcoming UN seflie orgy. How inconsiderate of those wounded soldiers.

      • Ron MacDonald

Justin is kissing ass to get nominated for a Nobel.

      • David Murrell

Indeed. Those aggressive soldiers attacked an innocent Muslim’s knife (private property) with their bare skin. This is how the Liberals, the media and the (in) justice system will soon see this.

btw: the National Post this morning is reporting that our Islamist stabby has history of mental illness. (But then again, it is tricky differentiating mental illness with Islamic thought).

        Bill Murray. Caddyshack ?

        • Gary

No, he’s more like Andy Kaufman

          • moraywatson

…without the wit, grace or charm…

  • CodexCoder

He only heard about because someone told him. He doesn’t read the papers, blogs or watch the news. And no, he is not an aberration, but the result of years of moral and intellectual decline.

    • David Murrell

I agree with you that Justin doesn’t read. But not watch TV news? With Peter Mansbridge (CBC) and Lisa LaFlamme (CTV)as news readers, one would think Trudeau would lap their pro-Liberal bromides up. Canadian broadcast news exist as pure one-sided Liberal propaganda.

      • Justin St.Denis

I am fairly certain you are correct with one stipulation: Justin does not watch French language news because he does not understand the talking heads when they speak. JT is simply not bilingual. Harper was a better debater in French, and a better communicator in French. Trudeau MASSACRES French big-time. Truly horrible to listen to, kinda like when Joe Clark would speak French.

He’s the Charlie McCarthy of Omar and Gerry. They take turns pulling his strings and “throwing” his voice. Junior is more than happy to bask in the limelight, swanning around at international affairs, posing for soft-porn photospreads with his wife, vacationing at exclusive resorts. Meanwhile, Omar and Gerry run the show. And we yawn. It is so true that people get the government they deserve.

  • ontario john

He is too busy at the UN posing for selfies, telling everybody he is a feminist, and promoting abortion for African babies.

  • ontario john

He has to avoid paying attention to the injured soldiers. One of them has Jesus as his first name. That would upset his muslim voters.

    • David Murrell

That’s right. Part of Justin’s voting constituency are radical Islamists — those who support killing non-Muslims and strict Sharia law.

  • mauser 98

PM Bieber off to the UN
how hard will jackass screw us this time

    • Justin St.Denis

Actually, selling Cape Breton isn’t such a bad idea. Pretty baubles have to be sold off sometimes when the economy demands it.

      • mauser 98

Wynne: is Cape Breton in Ontario?

  • xavier

Only if a selfie srick’s involved

  • Alain

Had to laugh when I read that Canadians are expecting Trudeau to deliver anything firm. He isn’t capable.

I pray to God that Canadians won’t ever have to experience their own 9/11 or mass-murder like that of Paris, France. But these “progressives” are the ones making this great country an free-open market to those who wants to threaten and disrupt our society/way of living no matter how much kindness we show even to those who antagonize us. And I doubt the “moderate” ones the media keeps telling to the masses will be able to do much to prevent their own from being radicalized considering they don’t want to police themselves. Islam is Islam no matter what Muslim follows it. It means “to submit”–submission of your soul, your body, your mind; you are like a robot programmed by religion/God to obey its utmost principles. This is what makes this cult different from the others, it commands you to let it get a firm grip on you like you are (its) machine rather than a human with freewill. Many don’t want to admit this, especially the followers themselves and these fucking Liberal party.
