Trudeau must avoid UN’s moral relativism

In the coming days Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will set the tone for how Canada engages with the United Nations. Let’s hope he decides to stand up for Western values, rather than cave to the forces of moral relativism.

Fresh off his Washington visit, Trudeau heads to New York on Wednesday to meet UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on UN turf (they first met last month in Ottawa).

A key goal, the Liberal media release notes, will be to “reiterate Canada’s support for the United Nations”.

This is their way of saying Trudeau will be departing from former PM Stephen Harper’s frosty approach to the UN.

The UN is heaven to an airhead like Justin.

Expect the little prince to announce millions of dollars for the UN, which will quickly end up in Swiss bank accounts. And of course he will announce that Canadian troops will be going to every islamic shithole on the planet. Although the troops will probably be safer outside the country. Still no word on whether the little airhead will be rushing to the Toronto hospital to visit the injured soldiers. He always has time for a selfie whenever a muslim’s feelings are hurt.

    • He will, I know.

      • The unfortunate reality is, Canadians voted for this clown.

        • Justin St.Denis

To be fair, only 38 percent of Canadians voted for this asshat.

          • David

The death culture of the left complained about Harper governing with the support of less than a majority of the vote. And that was true but the Conservatives had a higher percentage than the part time drama teacher managed.

Like the neighbours on either side of me, ugh.

    • He will bribe and they will take the bribe but the UN will never let him sit at the big table. He is too useless even for them.

moral relativism is the order of the day for treasonous liberals

    • Justin has no morals, he only likes to feel good.

    • And they don’t seem to realize that a huge bloc of Islamist countries in the U.N. (some 60 countries?) completely REJECT moral relativism — they see things only in black and white, good and evil, in accordance with Sharia law. The West is required to be morally relativistic with Islam, but Islam is permitted to reject that same approach when “accommodating” the values of the West.

It’s a one-way philosophical street and can only lead to the ruination of the free West, and the domination of savage Islam. How can the Libs talk about “ethno-centrism” “cultural relativism” or “moral relativism” when there is no Western culture, Western ethnicity, or Western moral code that they are willing to recognize? It especially angers me as an anthro grad, because they are misusing these academic tools for political purposes — these tools were never designed for a “one-way” analysis of culture to promote a singular ideological agenda they way the Libs are misusing it.

If there was ever any scientific basis for Anthropology the Left has destroyed it with ideology.

“The PM’s International Women’s Day statement was firm that, ‘It is unacceptable that in 2016, women are still denied an education, forced into an early marriage, or made victims of gender-based violence.”’

But they left out the rest of his speech where he said “it IS acceptable that in 2016 Western women are raped in their own nation’s streets by migrants invited into their countries under the guise of multiculturalism and humanism, and that women are made afraid to walk at night or dress as they wish for the same reason. This is a huge step forward for women’s rights.”

“This is a huge step forward for muzzie’s rights.” fify 😉

    • He refused point-blank to call these practices barbaric.

      I guess it wasn’t 2016.

More virtue signalling (hypocrisy veiled with lovely words). Justin is better than the rest of us because he espouses grand schemes that sound wonderful, but bears little or no responsibility for the cost, or the results. Very costly verbal flatulence.

Just watched the “Nothing to do with Islam” Toronto police chief give a news conference on the stabbings. Even though the stabber was yelling I’m doing this for Allah, the chief won’t speculate on his motives. AND THEN THE CHIEF STARTED TO WARN REPORTERS AND PUBLIC NOT TO ENGAGE IN “ISLAMOPHOBIA NONSENSE” as he put it, regarding the motives and incident. He seemed more upset at the idea of islamophobia than the attack itself.

I only hope he means what he says and does what he promises to do.

            That’s what I’m afraid of.

    • If authorities keep lying to the public about Islamophobia, then they will in fact create the conditions for Islamophobia. People will get sick of being falsely accused of being “islamophobes” and will in fact start to take it out on Muslims. It’s precisely the sort of conflict that the Left wants in order to install their fascist Socialist Police State.

Ask any Behavioural Scientist what the “critical mass” effect of a Government-sponsored systemically false accusation against the general populace will lead to.

The CBC reaction mirrors the Chief. They are worried about Islamphobic persecution of muslims in Toronto because of this incident. Yes, I’m sure mosques will be burned down all over Canada, and thousands killed.

        • Justin St.Denis

I keep praying someone will take out the CBC HQ in Toronto – the whole building with people and equipment inside it. That would squelch any islamophobia talk for a bit…..

  • ontario john

The Globe and Mail and National Post both had stories on the Chief’s news conference, but won’t allow comments. We peasants must not say anything about our new state religion.

  • Flyboy

Expecting Justin to act in the best interests of Western society and face down the forces of relativism is more than a stretch. He has bought into the false narratives of Islamophopia, homophobia and “climate change” hook, line and sinker and has signalled the fact that Canada needs to be punished, not defended.

  • Trudeau WON’T get a seat on the UN.

    Money on it.
