When “gender identity” hits kindergarten

From Salvo:

what is probably a sign of things to come, gender identity has become a contentious issue at the Nova Classical Academy in St. Paul, Minnesota. Last Fall the principal announced that the school would be taking steps to “support a student who is gender nonconforming.” Among other things, parents were told that kindergarten children “will listen to various books that celebrate differences and will be teaching children about the beauty of being themselves.” According to the email, one of the books would be “My Princess Boy,” about a boy who likes to dress up like a girl.

It soon unfolded that the gender nonconforming student was in kindergarten.

Further gender benders followed:

• Students requesting access to a bathroom conforming to his or her gender identity will be granted or denied permission on a case-by-case basis.

• Preferred gender pronouns also will be required on a case-by-case basis.

One clueless parent asked:

One mother summed up parents’ concerns this way: “If physiologists and medical doctors don’t quite understand gender fluidity, then why do we try to impose this on people who are just trying to figure out how to tie their shoe? It’s not fair. It’s not just.” More.

Reality check: No it isn’t, but it doesn’t matter whether it is or not. This is not about what is good for kids. It is Big Progressive proving it can do whatever it likes to anyone it chooses. Just wait till the Supreme Court legislates it.

Personally, I am all out of sympathy for anyone who votes progressive for any reason, who really does not support this sort of thing. This, plus euthanasia, abandoning Israel, and so forth is the agenda now.

I have especially limited sympathy for the ones who say, “But after all, they care.” Yes. They do. And you do not. Not even about your own kids.

  • This is simply progressive nihilism. Let them suicide, but leave the rest out of it.

Time to divide up the country into three separate nations. Manitoba and east can be liberal Canada and Sask West can be conservative Canada. Northern Ontario and Northern Quebec and NWT and Nunavit can be the 1st nations country.

But then parts of the country would work, parts wouldn’t, and immigrants from the failed part would swamp the productive part, unless we build walls.

        • Exile1981

If they are separate nations then in conservative canada we can ban immigration from liberal canada

Brainwashing and mind control, get ’em while they’re young.

This reeks of the intrusion of some pretty fucked up parents, most likely Mom who has been suffering from Munchausen by proxy for years.

Recently a family was investigated by Child Protective Services because
the 13-year-old son came home from school before his parents and was
seen playing basketball in his own backyard without an adult present.

If a teenager is “too immature” to be outdoors in his own backyard without
adult supervision, how is it kindergarteners are supposed to be mature
enough to decide that they are “gender nonconforming”?

It’s not about consistency or logic with the left, it’s about normalizing the
idea that your children don’t belong to their parents, but to the state.

Oh, and one note– I misremembered the kid’s age, he was 11 at the time
        of the incident.

I’m willing to entertain some sexual identity madness when we’re dealing with people entering puberty or who are full adults. I remain dubious, but not credulous.

But pre-pubescent sexual identity strife (allowing for rare individuals with abnormal medical conditions) is entirely the product of outside influences politicking to impose their agenda. Adults coaching kids to mouth words they don’t understand and cannot articulate.
