Trump Would Dominate Clinton, Sanders in the General Election, Data Model Predicts

Much of the criticism aimed toward presidential candidate Donald Trump by other Republicans has been predicated on the assumption that he will lose in the general election. Trump’s many provocative statements, which would be considered gaffes if uttered by any other candidate but have somehow worked for him, are generally assumed to preclude him from securing the broad support necessary to claim victory in November.

However, one method of analysis known as the Primary Model predicts that Trump would not only win in the general if nominated by Republicans, but completely dominate

They are not scared shitless that he will lose to Hillary, in fact, they are fine with Hillary winning, they are scared shitless that he will win, and win by a lot.
They need to keep him out of the contest entirely as a Republican, and that’s their REAL game plan.
God, my team is as corrupt as the Democrats.

The reason why the GOPe are continuing with this myth that Killary would wipe the floor with Trump is because they damned well know Trump will Roflstomp her, and then they’ll have no control over the Presidential agenda.

I doubt whether this model can account for the fact that the media have given him massive amounts of free time (for whatever reason) in the primaries (more than all the other candidates combined), yet will try to destroy him in the general. Remember that primary voters and general voters are two different animals. The later know virtually nothing except what the media tell them.

    • A valid point.

Most people don’t trust the media, so by striking back at them, Trump boosts his credibility. And because his rants at the media boost their ratings, they carry him anyway to hawk their sponsors’ products.
