Did Africans Sell Africans Into Slavery? Let’s Ask Some Africans

“…Whenever I note that when it comes to the emotionally hypersensitive topic of slavery, there is more than enough historical guilt to go around and that slavery’s history cannot neatly be boxed into binary struggles of good versus evil or black versus white, I am invariably accused of trying to alleviate or deny the guilt that we are ceaselessly lectured whites should constantly be torturing ourselves with.”

What – the narrative portrayed on Roots where the evil white man trudged in land in Africa and captured innocent African native Levar Burton and dragged Kunta Kinte off to the US to work as a slave is false? His fellow Africans did it?
You mean some of the stuff I learned in the 70’s in the Black History course in high school is false?
My world has just been shattered!

Most of America’s woes and lawlessness are a direct result of letting them all come and live in Northern cities – I’m sure Baltimore, Detroit and Chicago were lovely places 50 years ago.

I must disagree with the majority on this thread attacking African Americans for the sake of attacking African Americans. I say this from the point of view of a person opposing slavery. Obviously, one should oppose the current “white guilt” mau mauing going on at universities and among the one-party media cartel.

The article from Tiki mag is a good one: that certain African tribes were complicit in the slave trade. The article mentions, but doesn’t stress, the Muslim Arab complicity in the trade. And needless to say, our p-c media cartel will never write about this subject.

What is needed is more writing on the CURRENT Muslim slave trade. Modern slavery exists, but reports from the UN and other do-good agencies barely mention the Arab slave trade. In case anybody ,issued it, the Islamic State is carrying on a fairly lucrative slave trade. While the dominant elites write about the horror of pre-civil war slavery, slavery still goes on.
